I hate this weather. Unbearable. Give me a warm overcast, the best weather in the world.

Not 30C FFS!!! I can barely sleep, and trying to work is horrendous. Summer sucks

was miles better last night, sunday night was unbearable, and was reluctant to have the window open as my hayfever was already hideous. suppose that didn't help the 'getting to sleep' stakes really, was wheezing like an old man too.

we had a storm last night though, cleared the air a bit, was still hot though. I love storms.

Compromised on the window issue by leaving the bathroom one open and all the doors (internal ones I mean , lol, its quiet and pretty safe round here but not that safe lol) and letting the hardly-there-anyway breeze blow through a bit. I normally love the summer/heat but sunday night was tough! was like a zombie at work yesterday from the lack of sleep and hayfever

It's nice and cool today by comparison. Hope it stays this way.

I am also suffering a lot from hayfever after leaving the windows open all night, and there's about 10 huge moths in my room :ermm:

Those massive giant house spiders come in if you do that tho!! Looking for a mate *shudder* :|

Must admit, that's the reason I refuse to leave my bedroom windows open, no matter how hot it gets.

Slept well last night until the mother of all thunderstorms at 5am, meaning I didn't get back to sleep before I had to get up at 6.

Tired now. :(

Hate to break this to you, z-layrex, but those spiders are already in your house. That's why they're called HOUSE hunting spiders.

I mean I feel your pain, believe me, as a fellow arachnophobe. But your window being open or closed is going to make not one iota of difference.

I hate you. Sometimes being ignorant really is better.

I'm doing you a favour. Now you can have your window wide open!

I have to say, I've gotten a lot better at dealing with our spiders since a close encounter with literally hundreds of these:

The **** sort of spider is that?

One that eats birds. The picture is pretty clear.

Woke up about 6 and couldn't get back off.

Cooler tonight with a nice north-westerly breeze heading in over the North Sea should mean more sleep in the household with temparatures staying consistent from 11pm to 7am with sunrise at 5.43am.
