Right, in the process of planning all of this.

I'm in the UK at the moment, and realise how much I miss the place, and my mates, and thinking about doing uni here.

Any recommendations for universities studying Graphic Design, Marketing/Advertising and/or Business?

Thanks guys.

MTWG and ajthefox do/are going to do something like Graphic Design, I think. Might be worth PMing them.

Check out The Guardian's website. They usually have pretty good stats on the best unis for specific subjects and grades required.

I did graphics at A-level, studying architecture now though!

Where at? Just curious.

I have no clue about English Unis.

Sheffield Hallam. It's pretty good in fairness but I do sometimes feel that being at a red brick would make quite a difference.

Please explain, I have no idea about English universities.

they're made of bricks rather than straw, they don't all revolve around surfing and not everything is cooked on a BBQ. :P

I think Nottingham Trent is good for business, similarly Leeds Metropolitan for graphic design.

Just finished a course in Visual Communication at Birmingham Insititute of Art & Design (BCU). Specialised in Advertising / Graphic design for the last two years, very good course but Birmingham is shiiiittt.

Can you still apply then?

Just finished my A-Levels in IT and think I should have applied now, most of my mates are going to Sheffield Hallam.

I think the best thing to do is your own research, then go to some open days etc, or just visit. If your going to spend three years there, you have to feel some sort of connection with the place. I chose my uni at the last minute through clearing, and although I had a pretty mental time, there are parts of me that wished I had thought it through properly, and maybe chose somewhere else!

My brother studied architecture at Manchester. Thats pretty much graphic design

 Eh... it's really not. :crylaugh:

Guys, being an overseas student I can't attend open days.

And I finish school end of 2012. So what do I do?!

I assume all those offering particularly obtuse / unhelpful suggestions to ACF would know exactly how to apply for Uni in Australia? :banghead::rolleyes:
