ACF Posted 30 June 2011 Share Posted 30 June 2011 Right, in the process of planning all of this. I'm in the UK at the moment, and realise how much I miss the place, and my mates, and thinking about doing uni here. Any recommendations for universities studying Graphic Design, Marketing/Advertising and/or Business? Thanks guys.
StanSP Posted 30 June 2011 Share Posted 30 June 2011 MTWG and ajthefox do/are going to do something like Graphic Design, I think. Might be worth PMing them. Check out The Guardian's website. They usually have pretty good stats on the best unis for specific subjects and grades required.

ajthefox Posted 1 July 2011 Share Posted 1 July 2011 Sheffield Hallam. It's pretty good in fairness but I do sometimes feel that being at a red brick would make quite a difference.

The Doctor Posted 1 July 2011 Share Posted 1 July 2011 Please explain, I have no idea about English universities. they're made of bricks rather than straw, they don't all revolve around surfing and not everything is cooked on a BBQ. I think Nottingham Trent is good for business, similarly Leeds Metropolitan for graphic design.

mammalian Posted 3 July 2011 Share Posted 3 July 2011 I think the best thing to do is your own research, then go to some open days etc, or just visit. If your going to spend three years there, you have to feel some sort of connection with the place. I chose my uni at the last minute through clearing, and although I had a pretty mental time, there are parts of me that wished I had thought it through properly, and maybe chose somewhere else!
