I am not sure you will be saying that if both Konchesky and Peltier get crocked for 3 months each at the mid point of the season. They both make the squad stronger.

A team is more than just the first 11, you need good backup too, players who can come in for an injured player or tired player and do a good job.

I agree that we need strength and depth. Berner is more than adequate to cover for Konchesky. And at RB, i am sure a CB could cover Peltier if we was injured for a couple of games, if longer, we can use the loan market - i'm sure a young player from a premiership side would be more content sitting on the bench and just being around the 1st team squad, than a international with 60 caps. If he wanted Pantsil, i dont think he should have signed Peltier. I don't want the squad to get too big leaving us with unhappy players, not good for morale.

Does this include Michael Ball, Alexander Tunchev, Miguel Vitor and Yann Kermorgant, or could it potentially be three of these, plus three or four from Vitor, Maynard, Heskey, Reo Coker, Pantsil, Routledge and Yukubu? Would that make six or seven more signings?
