Because he was dead within seconds?

http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/law/article3970020.ece

And the police officer felt the need to shoot him in the chest, which is usually a fatal shot, after already shooting him once for what reason exactly?

Also this part

"The first bullet to strike Mark Duggan nicked his rib before burying itself in the police radio of a firearms officer who might otherwise have died"

What the hell was that officer thinking shooting somebody when he had every chance of killing one of his colleagues?

Honestly looks like this guy was getting killed regardless of what he actually did before or during the incident.

Why? Why him and not the hundreds of other of thugs and gangsters? According to his supporters he wasn't even that important.

It does look a bit that way to me too .

I wouldn't be surprised if stuff about his past starts leaking out piecemeal that indicates he'd upset the wrong person in some way .

Marksman don't generally account for the one in a million chance of a bullet deflecting into a colleague off a rib, curb or lamp post.

They also shoot to kill. If you believe someone is going to shoot you you dont shoot to disarm.

Are you saying the Met have a shoot to kill policy?

Could be...

I'm sure I heard a senior policewoman on the radio once say that when they shoot they shoot to kill not disable because a disabled person with a gun could still be dangerous.

I'm fed up of all this 'race' bollox,

The police shot this duggan lad because he was a non law abiding scum bag and wannabe gangster who needed bringing down, but obviously if he was white he wouldn't have been shot??

We are constantly treading on egg shells as to what we say on subjects like this through fear of being branded racists?

The facts are the majority of gun and knife crime amongst gangs are committed by black folk,

Then because police stop and search it's racial discrimination,it's like white folk are indebted to black people,no doubt they'll be more riots nationwide in respect of the duggan looser!

The police wanting to meet local folk to ease tention is bollox, the fact he got shot dead should act as a warning to others what will happen if they wanna act like a bad boy!wish our police had more authoritie to rid the streets of more of these scumbags.

You say the police shot him because he was a non law abiding scum bag. What are your thoughts on football thugs, and how the police deal with them?

Did they know that before they shot him> football thugs have it written on their dicks so it can be seen what they are across their forehead.
