A plea from a fellow Leicester fan

Hi everyone.

I have just had my first paper published on a research website, and would now like to have it viewed and downloaded by as many people as possible to make it hit the top 10 downloads!

Would it be possible for as many of you as possible to click the link below and download the paper to help me out? I would not expect anyone to actually read it, but every download adds to my numbers and it will only take you about 10 seconds to do this!!!

Thanks in advance for your help !!

Regards

Thomas Perry

Done, you're right though I don't think I'll bother reading it although I'm sure it's excellent all a bit 'gray' for me.tongue.png

You're a Thomas Perry and you go to Texas Womans University (School of Management)? I'm so confused right now.

lol it's called a Woman's University as when it was founded it was a Woman's only University. It changed many years ago to allow men as well, but kept the name :)

Many thanks !! I don't think many people will bother reading it, apart from the hardcore accounting geeks !! ha everyone in England keeps telling me I spelled gray wrong, I am based in Texas though now so it's American spelling :D

Some Leicester fans gotta love them......it probably took as long to read and type that as to click the link.

I actually did do what you asked...don't get your panties in a bunch

Nice one thanks !! :D

Tell me about it! Every paper I write I spell about half of it wrong due to the American spelling, and when it has been spellchecked it looks so strange !

I downloaded it. ;)

However, I disagree with your conclusion - althought it precedes it, I don't believe that SAS 106 really has expanded on the work of SAS 31 . I believe most users actually find that SAS 31 is more organised and easier to use then SAS 106. While somewhat outdated, I personally find that the guidelines set by SAS 31 are much more efficent for collecting the information which leads to audit opinion. The AICPA should scrap SAS 106, rather then trying to ammend it, and simply just start from scratch.

(Just kidding. Talking complete shit, I don't have a clue what anyone of that means at all. I'm sure it's all very clever though lol)

I agree, I find this whole thing shallow and pedantic

I don't care what system you use, the audit will always be a deal between the auditors and the CFO, of profit made up of capitalized repairs, development costs etc.. All depreciated over the ensuing years with attendant costs. Future profits are compromised, only to be subject to a similar deal the next year and so the snowball rolls until it runs over some poor **** who inherits the mess.

Write a paper on that and shake some feathers.
