Precious easily-offended planks who believe that because they play football the 'right way' (whatever the hell that means), other teams should just roll over and not try to neutralise their style of play with a different style. Dislike Barca for exactly the same reason. Couple that with the belief in the divine right that they will win a trophy every season when they actually haven't for a rather long time and... Pretentious. That said, the team itself play some gorgeous football and they can be fantastic to watch. But there's more than one way to win a football match.
