Look at page 8. I don't understand why we aren't using this - we have lots of central midfielders and no good natural wingers so this would be ideal. Plus, no-one is out of position and we'd have a proper striking partnership. Nugent wouldn't be so isolated, he wouldn't have to work so hard and I'm sure him and Vassell would create plenty of chances for each other. Who would you pick for the bench? Someone laughed at my subs, but I can't work out why.

This 7 down the 5 subs lark has really cost us some of our squad size/quality advantage this year

I thought Schlupp played well against Reading. When he was taken off we lost a bit of pace and attacking creativity. I wasn't impressed with Nugent. Glad he scored last game though.

We can only use 3 of the 5 subs anyway, so I don't think it's a risk worth taking. You're right about the new 5 subs rule instead of 7 - fvcking stupid. I bet there's not a single manager, player or fan in the football league in favour of it. Having 7 subs means young players get a chance to show what they can do if the team is winning comfortably, and you can cover more positions. Honestly, I can't think of one good reason to go back to just 5 subs.
