Whitlock 7 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 .......................,........,...Kasper Pantsil............. Mills. ..Bamba. .. Konchesky ....,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Wellens. Yuki/king Vassell................................. Dyer/waghorn ...............................Gallagher ..............................Nugent
Grayster84 Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Same team as Coventry but obviously put Pantsil instead of Peltier. Lets start getting the bond!
Swalker Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 Slightly Unorthodox I know. But 2 wing backs, with abe and fernandes covering the defence when the wing backs get forward. Wellens linking attack and midfield and Danns supporting front partnership of Vassel and Nugent. Goals in this tactics imo. Subs= Weale, SSL, Gally, Johnson and Schlupp (very attacking bench really too). Goals are the aim

Mr.Lowe Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 I've got a couple of formations, all dependant on if we got a striker in... PLEASE GOD! 1. With new stikerSchmeichelPeltier--Mills--Bamba--KoncheskyDanns--Abe--KingVassell--???-- Nugent2. Without new strikerSchmeichelPantsil--Mills--Bamba--KoncheskyAbeDanns----KingGallagherVassell--Nugent
LCFC_DAN Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Im sure vassell is still suspended , as he has only missed the Reading and Bristol City games , so wont return untill Southampton (H) so team should be : Kasper Peltier , Mills , Bamba , Konchesky Danns , Wellens King Dyer , Nugent , Gallagher Subs: Weale , St Ledger , Fernandes , Abe , Schlupp We will play the same type of football as Coventry (A) , and will just nick it 1-0
LCFC_DAN Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 ---------------------------------Kasper------------------------------- Pelts--------------Bombscare------ Mills---------------Berner --------------------------------Wellens------------------------------ -------------------- -King----------------Danns-------------------- -----------------------------------Dyer--------------------------------- --------------------------Vassell---Nugent------------------------- subs: Risk No Keeper; Howard(striker or goalkeeper ); Gally(mid); Schlupp striker or LB); Abe (mid or RB); St Ledger(CH or FB) Oh god knows - changed this 20 times already - wouldn't mind giving Moussa a go as well!! Why would you play Berner over Konchesky ? Konchesky has been one of are best signings , and has played well in all 3 games

I don't think Vass still is m8, he's served his two out surely Anyway; Kasper Pelts. Bamba. Mills. Konch Fernandes. Wellens. King/Johnson/Danns Nugent. Vass Howard/Gally/Jesus/Satan Subs: A.Smith, Abe, Johnson, Dyer, Schlupp

lestajigs Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Vassell has served his ban (reading rotherham Bristol)

We would need to have an attacking mentality and go for short passing I reckon and I think we should try and use the offside trap and make sure we are on hard tackling but I reckon we can win!!! Or, if the above are not fit, maybe: ---------------------------------Kasper------------------------------- Pelts------------------Bamba-------Mills-----------Konchesky ------------------------------------Abe--------------------------------- -----------------------King----------------Wellens------------------ -----------Gallager----------------------------------Danns--------- ----------------------------------Nugent-------------------------------
Sods Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Kasper Paintsil Mills Bamba Koncheskey Peltier Fernandez Wellens Gallagher Nugent Vassell St Ledger King Dyer Abe Schlupp
blueblood88 Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Gone with the only two players out wide that I think give us a bit of width, but if we're under pressure, which we will be, they can also move inside and congest the midfield. Also, glad vassell is back, will take a lot of pressure off Nugent.
Tielemans63 Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 I hope Sven gives 442 a chance. Unlikely away from home in a big game though.
The Doctor Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Im sure vassell is still suspended , as he has only missed the Reading and Bristol City games , so wont return untill Southampton (H) I fort he was given a 3 match ban He was, however his suspension is served - Rotherham, Reading & Brizzle.
Dylan Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Kasper Peltier - Mills - Bamba - KoncheskyAbeGallagher - King - FernandesNugent - Vassell Definitely need TWO strikers up front- someone to support Nugent. With Vassell back from suspension, he should fit that role- chasing down Nugent's flicks with his pace. Seeing as we have no decent wingers/side players a standard 4-4-2 would be ineffective imo. Play someone like Abe just in front of the defence, with 3 midfielders in front of him- helping our attack. King down the middle in a CAM position. People say King goes missing and is ineffective, but when you score double-figures from midfield, he's doing something right (especially as he doesn't take any set-pieces). I think he's very good in the gap between the oppostion midfield and defence, picking the ball up and running down the middle and getting a decent shot off from just outside the box. Gallagher can play on the inside right of attacking midfield, where he can pick the ball up and try to thread some passes through to the front two. There's no point in having him out wide ALL the time in a standard 4-3-3 as he's useless there. In this system he can drift out wide occasionally, to get a few crosses in.
Raw Dykes Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Kasper Peltier - Mills - Bamba - KoncheskyAbeGallagher - King - FernandesNugent - Vassell Yes! A formation like this is what we should be using. I'm really not sure about the players you picked for the midfield. Fernandes is our best defensive midfielder - he should play where Abe is, and I don't think Gallagher would be very effective there. Apart from that, I wholeheartedly agree. My midfield would be: FernandesDanns - King - Wellens/Abe I'd stick Johnson in there as soon as he's fit, but I think that will be a while yet.
@mrtonycox Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Yeah.. Vassell's back.. That means more pointless runs into a corner, doing a stepover and losing the ball. I think Vassell and Howard will score 3 each against Forest.

accessory Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Nugent should at least give the Forest defence more problems than Yakubu did last season.
