Referees.

If you think any referee that high in the English game is fixing a game of football then you're deluded. Or just stupid. I didn't even listen to the game on the radio today, nor do I go to home games now, but maybe Kasper said a little too much before the penalty and the referee was lenient, but very annoyed with Kasper, and then Kasper gave him the perfect opportunity to take more action.

Coincidentally, like our performances...

You must only selectively read my replies then :dunno:

Nope, well every arguement i've had in the past about this subject you've never said a referee was wrong, so whether i've missed you saying a referee was wrong in the past I don't know, you don't even agree the referee was wrong for Englands goal that wasn't given v Germany. How can you argue that?

It's not just me who thinks that you don't disagree with referees either, coincidence?

Like I say, todays referee, I personally can't blame, it was down to stupidity from our player, and I say it everytime we don't win (Quite often then...) that it is an amazing coincidence that when we don't win people blame the referee, perhaps those people should look a little closer to home and take their blue tinted glasses off.

Correct, they are, however people are blaming not winning solely on the referee, people need to open their eyes a little, the referee certainly didn't help us but it's ever some coincidental that the same thing is at fault everytime we don't win, the referee.

We'd be champions of the world if it wasn't for referees according to some people.

Every time I reply to you it's always along the same lines :dunno: The England Germany goal what do you want me to say? Of course it crosses the line, but I argued that there's no way the assistant could have given it from where he was standing. They're not going to guess, and if you're not sure you're naturally going to side with the defence for least controversy (a goal that was offside vs. a goal that was ruled out when the guy was onside.. which is remembered for longer?)

I might have a different opinion to a referee but if he gives a free kick I'm not going to say he's wrong because from his angle it may look a free kick, and the Laws Of The Game say in the opinion of the referee so therefore he must be right. Whether he's right in my opinion, that may different, but I'll keep my opinion to myself as it doesn't count.

Gotta say i agree with Matt, yes the ref was bad today but its not his fault we lost, its the players fault plain and simple, they let the lead slip.

Surely not giving the goal was guessing though? :dunno:

So you are saying referee's make decisions when they're not sure just for a easy life.

It was a non-decision.

"Has it crossed the line?"

"I don't know"

"Well we'll have to play on then"

Seems to be accepted now as part of the game, plastic seats, goal music, shit ref's.

How on earth those dickheads at FIFA didnt look at refereeing in general after Henry single handedly (pun intended) denied Eire a world cup trip I will never know.

Its time that ex athletes were trained to referee so they could keep up with the athletes that are now on the pitch. No more pot bellied headmasters required.

Why wouldn't this happen in English football? It happened in Serie A in recent years so why not here...

By no means am i saying the referee 'fixed' the game today but he was diabolical.

IMO, the English media. I'm sure there's been plenty in the media try to tap up a referee, to then get a story.

Our performance was as bad, having a 0-2 lead and throwing it away! That should not happen. We all know the referee was rubbish, but we can't just blame him, I mean, look at our defending. And the talk of 'match fixing' is ridiculas. If Weale would have caught the cross, the final whistle would have been blown.

The ref did his bet to cost us but we could have done so much more. Once again it is a lack of concentration when it really matters, the defending by our players was poor . Forgetting Weale flapping at the ball enough wasnt done to stop us from conceding. Even before they scored the second we werent really clearing out lines very well and started giving the ball away.

The same media who constantly tell us that the Premier League and the referees in it are the best in the world?

Right before I start I hate referees as much as anyone, however it really does piss me off that the referee will be blamed for that debacle, but think some people need to take their blue tinted glasses off and point the blame at our players, or atleast be honest.

Mills, It was a handball, Intentional? No, I don't think so, put the shoe on the other foot would you be claiming it if it was a Forest player? I think you would, Would we get it? Probably not

Schmicheal, Unforgivable and i've noted his kicking the ball out in anger even goal we've conceaded this year, Shouting at our players, Geeing them up, Winding them up yes, I like to see that from Kasper but he needs to control his anger, seriously.

I'm the first to shout at referees and get angry with them but come on, be honest people.

I actually agree with Matt, a truly monumentus day.
