Matt Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Right before I start I hate referees as much as anyone, however it really does piss me off that the referee will be blamed for that debacle, but think some people need to take their blue tinted glasses off and point the blame at our players, or atleast be honest. Mills, It was a handball, Intentional? No, I don't think so, put the shoe on the other foot would you be claiming it if it was a Forest player? I think you would, Would we get it? Probably not Schmicheal, Unforgivable and i've noted his kicking the ball out in anger even goal we've conceaded this year, Shouting at our players, Geeing them up, Winding them up yes, I like to see that from Kasper but he needs to control his anger, seriously. I'm the first to shout at referees and get angry with them but come on, be honest people.
The Doctor Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Schmeichel was stupid... simples for returning the ball to the centre circle? And enter DB11 stage left to explain why that was indeed a sending off rather than the act of a tree scum fixing the game for his side.
Raj Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 We seem to blame the refs alot. We make too many mistakes and we ALWAYS tend to be negative when we are infront. We are our own enemies most the time!

themotivator Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 im ok with this kind of scapegoating. i want to vomit on his kids right now
Matt Posted 20 August 2011 Author Posted 20 August 2011 for returning the ball to the centre circle? And enter DB11 stage left to explain why that was indeed a sending off rather than the act of a tree scum fixing the game for his side. Fixing the game, open your eyes, be honest. Can't comment on throwing it back to the centre circle, I just him throw the ball in anger, and looked in the direction on the touchline to me, i'll take your word for it, all I will say is every goal we have conceded so far he has kicked the ball in anger towards the stands/touchline.
zubi Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 for returning the ball to the centre circle? To be fair I didn't see it... the reporter on football focus said he stupidly threw the ball off the pitch to waste time.
FrankieADZ Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 On the handball.....it was harsh....even if it was us tbh i wouldnt have called for it. Tho....we do seem to get dodgy calls just as much as any other team...I just think the ref bottled some of it. <_<
kingfox Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Refs are ridiculous, they need sorting out some a very terrible. I think the pressure got to him and he crapped his pants, Forest got Schmeichel sent off and that penalty for a start off was very very harsh and cheap. Coventry ref - shite Reading ref - shite Bristol ref - pretty shite Forest ref - Started well then went bonkers Same pattern and it always happens for us, go fook someone up like Derby instead of the mighty Foxes.
Benji Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Goalkeepers kick the ball out the net in almost every game. Never do they get booked. Right or wrong, there's no consistency.
zubi Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Goalkeepers kick the ball out the net in almost every game. Never do they get booked. Right or wrong, there's no consistency. Very true, Matt did mention I think how nearly every time Kasper concedes he belts the ball away in any direction... First card for that this season
sg6 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Schmeichel threw the ball in the direction of the half way line, handball was harsh and the ref should be punished for coating us the game and there is no doubt he cost us the game. Think the red card should be appealed

Alan Young is quite right on this... the refs need to come out after games and account for their decisions....
Matt Posted 20 August 2011 Author Posted 20 August 2011 bollox - we were ok till the ridiculous penalty..I started a thread on this after Cov.. the refs this season are unfeasibly bad Hang on, so would you not be claiming the penalty if a Forest player did what Mills did? If so, can you complain Forest got the penalty? If so the referee was right? Now, we decided to do the obligatory 'Leicester City crumble under pressure©' how is that the referees fault? And how can you make a opinion on the refs this season after the 1st game of the season. Like i've said I slag referee's off at any opportunity, but does piss me off when people point the finger for losing the game at them, when the truth is a little closer to home. I'm not like DB11 and have the opinion referees can do no wrong, they can do alot wrong, I don't think DB11 has ever acknowledged a referee to be wrong, they are always right in his opinions, some people on here are exactly the opposite though, in the fact they think our players can do no wrong and everytime we don't win its the referees fault, I'd like to think I have an honest opinion either way.
demon_dog Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Wasn't at the game, can only go on what was said on Radio Leicester. Firstly, Alan Young said never a penalty, the ball hit the player who had no chance of getting out of the way. Therefore ball to hand, ref got it wrong. Secondly, Kaspar threw the ball (not kicked) toward the centre circle, Young thought it actually bounced inside the centre circle. Therefore one could say he was returning the ball ready for kick off. As such he should never have been sent off. Will know for definite when shown on The Football League Show tonight. If both above comments are found to be true, then the ref is a complete and utter cnut who deserves roasting over a spit.
Steve Agnew Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 A bbc article on the rules for handball. It was never a penalty! It was accidental and 'ball to hand'. Never a booking either. I hope we complain about this referee. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/rules_and_equipment/4524354.stm
One Arm Babba Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Terrible all match for me. I watched it on Canal+ and he loved the sound of his whistle and was swayed far too easy by the crowd/forest players. The Mills handball was a joke, he is not looking at the ball and it simply rolls in to his forearm. If It was gaining him an advantage i'd understand. Findley was not going to get the ball and Schmeichel was simply going to gather the ball. He is then stupid to get booked for dissent but to send him off for throwing the ball after the opposition has scored is bull. I'm happy with the performance today and feel we got done by the ref. Nugent was class but needs a foil as Vas is not that man. 2-2 ain't so bad. Lets do Southampton and kick on from this shitty referee spoiling our 3pts.
HEGGSY Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Anyone who refs a Leicester game will be against us and therefore shit nuff said, at least thats how it feels anyway
accessory Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Forest were clutching at straws. Only at their hovel (and ALWAYS in games against us.. ) or at games at Old Trafford/Anfield do appeals like that ever get upheld. Players were right to be angry. And how many times do you EVER see a keeper pick up a yellow for kicking the ball away in frustration after conceding a goal? Never - until today. It's gone way beyond a coincidence. I suspect a brown envelope (of which Forest have a ready supply, ask Lord Sugar... ) will have come into play.
Rincewind Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Shemichael is saying he didnt realise that he was booked the first time, I didnt know he had been booked. Thought it was a straight red. He had his back to the ref when booked. Surely the ref should be facing a player so he can explain why he is being booked.
DB11 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 And enter DB11 stage left to explain why that was indeed a sending off rather than the act of a tree scum fixing the game for his side. If you think any referee that high in the English game is fixing a game of football then you're deluded. Or just stupid. I didn't even listen to the game on the radio today, nor do I go to home games now, but maybe Kasper said a little too much before the penalty and the referee was lenient, but very annoyed with Kasper, and then Kasper gave him the perfect opportunity to take more action. Refs are ridiculous, they need sorting out some a very terrible. Coincidentally, like our performances... You must only selectively read my replies then
Foxinspain Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 the more i hear about the ref's performance - the more i ask myself how he is allowed to referee at championship level!
shiv Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 On another note, most the forest players were still celebrating the goal when Schmeical threw the ball out so they weren't even ready for kick off! So it's not really time wasting!
