IMO he was definitely better than both Cunningham and Van Aanholt last season but they were both preferred to him. Berner wanted to leave to play regularly but Sven thought of him as a good back up so played him for a couple of matches and gave him a new contract... then dropped him again. He's now brought Ball the roly poly in he must weigh the same as Jobber and is as slow as a 50-year old heavy smoker. There were rumours that Berner was going to be the new coach... but nothing has ever been confirmed?! Agreed, Berner is one of the most competent defenders I have seen in a city shirt, amazes me how he's not even in the plans. I think Waggy will come good, sadly not for us it seems. Wonder if Pearson might be interested... Pearson will be sniffing around no doubt, and your right, he will come good. Just arrived at bury what a shithole ! If you see Gary Neville (bury born and inbred), please twat him for me. Cnut.

Clearly exposes our need to get one or two in with some decent ability to challenge each other for places and give us some more options up front. Without Howard, Waggy, and Kermorgant that leaves with what? 3 strikers in Nugent, Vassell, and Schlupp (who is still understudying a little, and needs a bit more time to be a guaranteed first-teamer), and possibly Gally, who is more of a winger? To be fair, perhaps Sven is choosing more midfielders to try and squeeze some goals out of them too? The whole squad is going to have to contribute if we want to go up this season.
