Bury Post Match

I reckon that was a decent performance against an in-form Bury side. We ground them down and the quality showed in the end. The pace of dyer and schlupp gave us more attacking options and this was helped when king was introduced.

On a night when some smaller clubs have turned in good wins against bigger opposition, city's win is all the more pleasing.

We now need to continue this by stopping Southampton in their tracks on saturday and sending out a message to the other Championship clubs that we are an improving force.

Iker Casillas couldn't have saved that.

Weale haters, jog on.

Who do people think Weale is? Inspector gadget..

Not a chance with that

I am lost for words, the number of people moaning on twitter because we narrowly beat bury tonight..what part of utilising the squad and making 10 changes do people not get? I'm pretty pleased it shows our squad is still strong even after 10 changes, some people really need to wake us and smell the cherry pie and give Sven some slack!!

Bring on the next stage!!!

Couldn't agree more. We gained a lot out of tonight. The confidence of another win, another four goals, progress to the third round of a cup and the chance to keep all our squad busy for a start.

Individually Schlupp got another 90 first team minutes and showed he could be dangerous even as a lone striker, Danns got the boost of his first goal for us, Kingy improved his sharpness and, apparently, made a massive difference to our flow going forward.

Ball go 90 minutes in, Weale put Saturday behind him, Dyer got the goal he's so been needing and, altogether we're building some real competition for places even though out defending remains a concern and i can't wait for Tunchev's return because leaking goals at a rate of two a game is something that needs to be improved without reducing our attacking threat.

Goals have just been SSN. Dyer's goal was quality - Fernadez and Danns celebration is soooooo funny! It's a right camp dance!

Him and Pelts did it on the first game vs Cov

Cracking freekick. FA Weale could do about that.

This was a really good result.

We showed a bit of guts and drive to come back from going behind and to secure the win. 10 changes and people are complaining. Jog on.

Just got back, very entertaining game. Even when we went 2-1 down we never panicked and looked like getting back into it, I criticise Weale a lot on here but there was nothing he could do for either goals and actually had a decent game. Danns' goal was a great bit of passing play too.

Hi Guys,

Firstly, Congrats on the win, I'd like to say, although you probably edged it, I thought we gave you a real run for your money.

Anyway best of luck for the rest of the season. UTS!

And you mate... Sounds like you got a decent side going on there

Was never going to schlepp up to the northern wastelands on a wet Tuesday night, but it sounds like I missed a decent game, considering some of the rubbish I have seen this season that was a shame. Tried listening to Stringer and Young, but they were so bad I gave up, ended up just keeping half an eye on the match thread while I made some nice kebabs for supper.

A decent win, a good runout for a few of our 'fringe' players and some fun for our more establised players late on.

Should help lift the mood after saturday......

Pleased with the win. Was a little nervewrecking for a while but glad the players were able to step it up when facing defeat to make it pretty comfortable in the end. Don't care who we get in the next round. Would rather see a smaller side for now to save the big guns for later on!

I'm pretty sure i'm right, but I'm pretty sure Neil Danns and Lee Peltier did this celebration when they were walking back to their positions after Peltier scored vs Coventry?

4 very good goals, Dyer's was the pick for me

Iffy at the back at times but our class showed in the end and overall i'm pleased we are in the next round, a loss no matter what the team would have put even more pressure on Sven and the boys, unfair pressure i may add as it's still early days.. But we have many ****** as fans and they would have been calling for Sven's head, MON to be his replacement and a whole new team again....

I should hope not, you're on my accumulator to win the league!

I thought Dyer looked your best player tonight, along with Schlupp (Pardon the spelling)

I think the difference in leagues was evident as normally our sloppy errors wouldn't go punished like they were tonight.

Considering the performance and the fact we had 3 or 4 first teamers out injured, I'm a relatively happy shaker!

I guarantee you'll get Bolton at home in the next round though :((((

Cheers mate, Survival is the primary aim!

But we've done it before, so we can do it again.

I hope my bet of Nugent for top scorer comes in as well! Another reason to look out for the Leicester result!
