AjcW Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 I know we have the Euro football thread but.... A) I couldn't be arsed to find it and... B) if the premier league gets it's own thread then La Liga is more than worthy! Real Madrid started last night with a thumping 6-0 victory and Barca this evening tried there hardest to match it with a 5-0 win over Villereal(their performance more than matched it, if you didn't catch it tonight be sure to watch revista... Even without Mark Boulton stupid sky people not renewing his contract!!) The main contenders for third place this season are Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Bilbao and providing they Gel.. Malaga. Valencia have made some great signings and if they begin to play as a team and strengthen the defence they will ease into 3rd. Athletico will struggle to manage without Aguero and Forlan bit have started to rebuild and may well be up there providing they get results against atletico and the rest. .... Thoughts for the rest of the season in here... Just glad it's finally underway
AjcW Posted 29 August 2011 Author Posted 29 August 2011 Obviously I mean Atletico getting results against Athletico Bilbao ... Stupid IPhone predictive text!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 I think Atletico will struggle this season, to be honest. Spanish football in general bores me to tears though, prefer German, even Italian.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Obviously I mean Atletico getting results against Athletico Bilbao ... Stupid IPhone predictive text!! And it's ATHLETIC Bilbao.
AjcW Posted 29 August 2011 Author Posted 29 August 2011 I know this phone really doesn't like me, I got bored of fighting with it in the end!! Haa.
AjcW Posted 17 September 2011 Author Posted 17 September 2011 Barca recovering from a disappointing start to the season(a win and a draw ) and are currently 5-0 up at half time V Ossasuna... Cesc and Messi are looking ridiculous! Villareal continued their poor start losing to newly promoted Granada!
HEGGSY Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I know it's only osasuna but 8-0..... amazing
Austin Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Barca literally play football from another planet. I'm fairly sure this'll be the greatest club team I see in my life time.
sdb Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Barca literally play football from another planet. Jamie Redknapp, is that you?!
Haydos Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Barca literally play football from another planet. I'm fairly sure this'll be the greatest club team I see in my life time. They literally don't.
AjcW Posted 21 September 2011 Author Posted 21 September 2011 Wednesday 21st Preview: TV Games: Real Madrid v Santander Valencia v Barcelona Madrid looking to bounce back from sundays embarrassing defeat at Levante, however Jose Mourinho confirmed today that both Pepe and Fabio Coentrao are both out for some time. Santander are still looking for their first win of the season after a poor start. Valencia v Barcelona is sure to be a cracker as it always is, with the added extra that is a very new look Valencia and their fantastic start to the new season, they currently top the table with 3 in 3 and have looked decent in all three games, impressive considering the amount of new signings they have. In other news, Villareal FINALLY got their first win of the season to end an horrific start! Real on at 7pm. Barca at 9pm. Available as always here: My Premium
AjcW Posted 21 September 2011 Author Posted 21 September 2011 Real Madrid 0-0 Santander . Dont think Jose will be sticking around for much longer, he doesn't seem himself if im honest. Also... a note on Falcao, could turn out to be signing of the summer for any club in Europe... he has just Netted his second hat trick in the league in a row to take his stats to Played 4 Scored 8
accessory Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Valencia 2 Barca 2. Quality game. Barca will be slightly disappointed, but later in the season they may regard this as a point gained rather than two lost.
AjcW Posted 21 September 2011 Author Posted 21 September 2011 Valencia 2 Barca 2. Quality game. Barca will be slightly disappointed, but later in the season they may regard this as a point gained rather than two lost. Absolutely, especially considering thats the worst I have seen them play in a long time... Abidal was horrific at the back, never thought I would say that! Cesc to the rescue once again though
accessory Posted 24 September 2011 Posted 24 September 2011 Rayo just pulled it back to 3-2. Di Maria sent off for Madrid. This could be another nervous night at the Bernebeu..
AjcW Posted 24 September 2011 Author Posted 24 September 2011 5-2 Madrid Currently... A tad unfair on rayo and there's still 15 left
Haydos Posted 24 September 2011 Posted 24 September 2011 Ronaldo with his 2nd hattrick of the season and already on 7 goals in 5 games. His ridiculousness continues.
AjcW Posted 24 September 2011 Author Posted 24 September 2011 Full Time: Real 6-2 Rayo. Very unfair but in the end Real showing some quality. Now for tonights main entertainment. Barca v Atletico, looking forward to seeing the unstoppable Falcao against an unsure Barca defence(well im not but id imagine the neutrals are!!) I predict Barca 4-2 Atletico. Messi(2) Cesc(1) Thiago(1) and Falcao bagging another brace for Atletico...... Now watch me be horrifically wrong!
AjcW Posted 24 September 2011 Author Posted 24 September 2011 Oh Leo  Barca 5-0 Atletico. Messi Hat Trick, and a bloody good one at that!! Barca at home : Played 3 Won 3 scored 18 Conceded 0
