You boys still want Anichebe? I'll drive him.

No thanks, but if you are looking for striking options, we just released a remarkable talent who go's by the name "Yann Kermorgant" !

We would have kept him on, but i guess it felt like we were holding him back from moving onto better clubs and furthering his career

Only ever intention to get one striker.

I believe.

This is probably a good sign that Sven rates Schlupp

Cheers for the info and hope Everton have a good season, and more importantly Super Tim has a good season

I have some important people on twitter following me, that's a tad different to a forum, plus I don't think it really has revealed anything. Just clarifying why I denied knowledge of it.

no one has actually given an expansive reason on why they sold him, other than "they got no money durrr". do you know why they were so happy to get rid of him for what seems to be a very low sum (2.5 before addons)

No money, plus him and David Moyes don't see eye to eye.

Anichebe getting picked over Jermaine was a big reason behind him accepting he might have to drop down a league.

Don't forget we went into the transfer market needing a striker and sold James Vaughan, Yakubu and Jermaine Beckford for a combined £8million.

We sold Steven Pienaar in Jan for £2million and Mikel Arteta on deadline day for £10million, replaced with two loan signings.

Bill Kenwright in that "underhand" secret meeting told them that he needed £20million to keep the banks from closing us this summer, theres your £20million, I'd personally rather have sold Jagielka for the £20million however, but you won't please everyone.

Arteta, simply didn't want to go.

would have made a lot more sense to me. i think he's overrated and replaceable

Pretty gutted for you lot, that's a heck of a blow to your first-team squad. Here's hoping that Ross Barkley breaks into your side properly soon, and you get Sturridge on loan or something

And of course, thank you for your info--always appreciated!

I'd have sold and got Scott Dann. Though I'm not a manager for a reason so thats not really for me to say haha.

Ross Barkley has started all 3 games this season.

Sven asked for him on loan this summer, got told very kindly where to go.

Depressing, isn't it!

My apologies, I'll rephrase that then: good to see quality youth like him playing in your first team now :)

That Everton Time website is very depressing, agreed. I'm still surprised that the Toffees have yet to be snapped up by some rich owner--surely there's plenty of opportunities for the club to excel given the chance and the fanbase?

lol at the 'last time Liverpool won a league title' counter too!

I can't really answer that, theres so many reasons as to why the club is on its arse.

If you have a spare 30 minutes, grab a brew and have a little read of this - http://www.evertoniansforchange.com/?p=224 - You may think I'm not interested in Everton therefore theres no point, but its a very good read as a neutral to understand how a football club is ran in the modern world.

Anichebe out for a few weeks for us with an injury.

Can we have Jermaine back please?

I thought Anichebe was shit - shouldn't the Toffee Army rejoice?laugh.gif

You can have Steve Howard on loan instead.

Posted

Yes thats true, however Louis Saha is also injured....next in line

18 year old Greek forward from the academy, Apostolos Vellios, tbh he looks quality from what I've seen.

Are you Fourth_Official?

He's an Everton fan who knows a hell of a lot about Leicester's transfers.

It wouldn't surprise me if you were him.

(P.S, if it is you I believe ya  have done all summer)

Thanks for not taking offence though, cos none was intended. :)
