Lambert09 Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 Just saw in the paper they are after Simon Cox, Townsend and Bertrand........all 3 of these are quality, I will be very annoyed if they get them as if we want them im sure they would choose us over florist. They would all add to our team, as nugent is out, wee have no wingers (bar Dyer but lets face it he doesnt quite cut it) and no competition at left back. Make it happen Sven.
Messi Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 I swear Bertrand has gone on loan to Notts Forest? I swear Bertrand has gone on loan to Brizzle City?*
tomlester93 Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 McGivern went to Bristol City, Bertrand hasn't gone anywhere yet
RyanB89 Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 isnt he second choice leftback at chelsea now
Lambert09 Posted 3 September 2011 Author Posted 3 September 2011 He is, but they would put some kind of 24 hour recall clause in. He's not likely to rival cole anytime soon though.
cc_star Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 After McLaren threw his toys out the pram yesterday, I'd expect Forest to be very active in the loan market
CupidStunt Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 He'll be getting the sack, never-mind loaning in players, cant see any of them joining Forest tbh

How is a Nugent a winger?
the_foxes_till_i_die Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 How is a Nugent a winger? Where in there did he say Nugent was a winger??
Raw Dykes Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 How is a Nugent a winger? Who said he was? Anyway, he used to play left wing for Preston, and did a bloody good job at it, too. If we're going to have 3 at the front again, Nugent on the left, Beckford central and Vassell on the right could destroy defences in this division.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 I rarther keep with our own players and not loan players that are not ours because they're not committed as much
Mickey O'Neil Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 I swear Schteve McLaren reads these boards and goes for the players we suggest.
wigstonexile Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 I rarther keep with our own players and not loan players that are not ours because they're not committed as much If the squad we now have isn't good enough toget us promotion then it's tough. I don't want loan players we have enough qualitty to get promotion. Also it is very easy 'spend' other peoples money, by saying we should do this or that. there were 23.000 at King power for the last home match, no doubt at least 15.00 different opions.
Jollie Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 I rarther keep with our own players and not loan players that are not ours because they're not committed as much Bit of a generalisation but I agree on the whole...however Cunnigham, Vitor and Naughton true FOXES
He's not bald Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 After McLaren threw his toys out the pram yesterday, I'd expect Forest to be very active in the loan market I'm not a great admirer of Sven really and accept the aggro I'm likely to get for that statement but the one thing he has got right this season is shipping out the loanees and making it clear that there won't be any coming in! I think if you have a decent squad (which we now have) then extra players who are here because they need something outside of what their parent club can provide for whatever reason is not the way forward! If Forest think they can turn their season around based on loan players then good luck to them but I doubt at this point that they can attract the quality of player that we could last season and we still didn't make it!
Brainy Posted 3 September 2011 Posted 3 September 2011 I rarther keep with our own players and not loan players that are not ours because they're not committed as much Loan players can be just as committed as our own if theyre trying to make a name for themselves.

I don't see those three points you made as problems for us to be honest. Yes, Nugent is out for a few weeks but Beckford and Vassell/Schlupp will be more than enough to terrorize defences. Also, Michael Ball and Bruno Berner are competition at left back.
AKCJ Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 I would take Bertrand and Cox but I wouldn't say i'm desperate. I think that if we could get Cox on a months loan, just as cover for Nuge then i'll be happy. Vassell doesn't fill me with confidence. Koncheskey has been fine for me, he does get beaten for pace sometimes but his experience and leadership is excellent. He's always the one who sorts out the offside traps. I WOULD take Townsend though, he's a class winger with pace who can beat a man and put in a cross, we havn't had one since Maxi Gradel.
Toffee_Fox Posted 4 September 2011 Posted 4 September 2011 Millwall are after some decent ones from the Prem. They are letting Hackett go out on loan.
