MikeyT Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Afternoon all. The starting 11 and subs are: Schmeichel, peltier, bamba, mills, konchesky, king, wellens, fernandes, abe, vassell, beckford. Subs:weale, danns, dyer, schlupp, pantsil
Cropwellfox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Hmmmm not convinced by the shape of this team. CMS 7/4 to bag. Lump on...
nuttytimmy Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Can't argue that Sven isn't prepared to change things - he's dropped Pantsil (rightly) for Pelts, and giving King a run is not only a nod to his form but also good for his confidence. I'm cautiously optimistic. Come on you lovely Foxes
21st Century Fox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Abe playing too, certainly mixing it up a bit.

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Afternoon all. The starting 11 and subs are: Schmeichel, peltier, bamba, mills, konchesky, king, wellens, fernandes, abe, vassell, beckford. Subs:weale, danns, dyer, schlupp, pantsil Still no dyer in the starting 11.... Shame Told ya he'd play Abe above Lloyd
nuttytimmy Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I'm just cautious. That's probably a good idea...
Cropwellfox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Just don't understand the fascination with sticking as many Central Midfielders in as possible.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 What will the formation be with that team then? Neither Fernandes nor Abe are wingers...
VinceNoir Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Looks like a 4-4-2 to me. Maybe a diamond formation.

MikeyT Posted 17 September 2011 Author Posted 17 September 2011 Would think Wellens will be at the foot of the diamond with Abe on the right of it, Fernandes on the left and King behind the front two.
leicesterseddon Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Nice to see a bit of width in the team then.
VinceNoir Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Didn't we play the diamond formation in the 1st half against Southampton? Let's hope it has the same effect today.
Madrid_Fox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I don't care how we play today, just win.
Will1981 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 We play well when we use the 4-4-2 diamond and poorly when we use 4-5-1. Lets hope Sven sticks with 4-4-2 diamond for whole match.
Footnote75 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 ...now go out and score five goals. (And don't concede six.)
dorsetfox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 nice to see abe playing always rated him . think hes a great passer seems to stuggle against teams who are fast and furious and give no space but against teams who stroke the ball around and give the opposition time he comes into his own. think sven has made the right choice here as brighton like to play the passing game
B52 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I think Abe and Fernandes will create some space and we score 3 with King, and 2xBeckford. 3-1 But with my luck CMS will ruin my day because I said Maynard is much better.....
FoxInWales Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Looks a solid midfield - seems Sven is showing Brighton some respect
Rincewind Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I quite like Abe from what i heard on the radio. Always gives 100%. Good to see King playing too.. 4 4 2. Just said
Ashley Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 The pitch looks good today however who's clever idea was it to water the pitch? It looks water logged in the middle of the park!
