lcfc"weasel" Posted 6 April 2012 Posted 6 April 2012 did it take you 6 weeks to come up with that reply? No, just looking through the forum, haven't been on here in ages. Looking to see if there are any decent topics about building computers.

Have you quit your job, started dressing and smelling like a hobo, and began spending all of your time discussing IQ<100 philosphy with your equally retarded mates in Starbucks all day, as well?

Well either that or the muzzle flashes of the people shooting at me in the call of duty game I bought when drunk last night cos my wife is away.

Na, they're just quicker for looking at porn, and that. YOUR MAM.
Finchy Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I don't care what people say about me and my apple. The Macbook Air is the nicest ever thing ever designed, ever.
Guest Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I heart my Mac. When I get my iPad, my life will be complete. I don't care what any of the Apple haters think. *cradles Macbook*

MC Prussian Posted 7 April 2012 Posted 7 April 2012 I've ran this and I'm having problems with sound. It doesn't recognise that I have internal speakers and is permanently on mute. I also can't even listen to anything through headphones. Also, when I shut my screen and go into standby it won't start up again. I didn't have any of these problems before running the defrag thingy. I've had something similar happening to me recently - couldn't get my MacBook back to work from Standby Mode occasionally, prompting me to restart the whole thing completely. Turns out there's a Kernel issue (graphic card-related). Best thing you can do is start clearing your Cache (via Library) and digging in your Preferences (also via Library). Best option would be to get an appointment at an Apple Store for a quick run-through. They know best. Also, check your startup items in the System Settings (go to Users & Groups, then select Startup Items on the right hand side). Ticking off any programs you don't really need can help, too.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 How easy is it to mod macs? For example, my pc has a open side panel allowing viewing to the five blue-LED fans and my top of the range cooler which has an LED strip which can e turned to a few different colours. Is this possible with a mac?

ACF Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Has anyone got AppleTV? Is it worth it? My new iPad is amazing, goes great with the MBP
lcfc"weasel" Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 Are you insane? Why ruin product design perfection with some shit like that? Not that big a fan of the looks of any macs I've seen, all too bland and samey for me. But if they are powerful enough on the inside with definite upgrade potential then I'd be interested. Also, can you OC a mac?

dave the caveman Posted 8 April 2012 Posted 8 April 2012 I don't care what people say about me and my apple. The Macbook Air is the nicest ever thing ever designed, ever. Some of the the slim HPs, Acers & Toshiba's are much, much better looking than the air. The air is just a flat, featureless slab. Next time you're in a computer shop go and look at the new windows laptops with an open mind and you'll see, there's some proper stunners in the line up these days. Apple did lead the way in that style of design, so credit where it's due, but the other manufacturers have already taken it to a new level.

I suppose if you like flimsy plastic covered in stickers and a trackpad that feels like tracing paper, then you'd be better off with a windows laptop. I much prefer one solid, minimal piece of 'featureless' aluminium with a big glass touchpad personally.
