sphericalfox Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Or maybe they don't want to dignify such a moronic thread by their presence. The Weale hate is repulsive. Schmeichel or Iker Casillas couldn't have saved any of yesterday's spot-kicks. I wonder if it's any different (other than vocally calling for Schmeichel when he's in net) than the Ricardo scenario that panned out last season. Those, and I'm not saying you, who are calling the Weale criticism sad, stupid, etc, may have been the same individuals calling totally unjustly for Ricardo's head. Weale is a genuine liability, especially from free kicks, corners, and of course long shots. That doesn't leave much else. Penalties are a lottery, though Ricardo had a history of being good at them. I'm sure he'll ask to go in January. Maybe he'll do the business for someone else, maybe he won't. I personally don't think he's a great backup. I hope we bring in a new young and hungry GK, (a little more experienced than our youth) as our number 2, maybe when Weale puts in his transfer request.
Fox96 Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I have always rated him as rubbish, but when i said it back last season everyone disagreed and said he's great. Now you can see when he is compared to a player of Kasper's calibre. I'd rather have Ricardo on the bench, he would have been happy on the bench if we didn't force him out due to our moronic fans. Precisley
B52 Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 The Weale hate is repulsive. Schmeichel or Iker Casillas couldn't have saved any of yesterday's spot-kicks. All hate is repulsive.. By the way, I think Ricardo is a free agent so should we have another go now when the defence is better?
Corky Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Agree with Dan, can't believe how insecure Weale has become between the sticks (not including penalties).
wakeyfox01 Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I wouldnt blame the penalties on him, but his positioning is generally really poor. He doesn't move his feet to get himself into a better position and get further across the goal.
Fox92 Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 The last Cardiff goal was questionable in my opnion. He didn't even dive, it was half a dive and he withdrew his hands. But again, it was from a distance. Same with their winning penalty (I'm not blaming him because Fernandes missed) it wasn't even a full dive.
MC Prussian Posted 23 September 2011 Posted 23 September 2011 And I always thought Yoga would help you find the right spot. Weale's development seems to have stagnated. I wouldn't necessarily allow him to seek a new club - maybe a loan deal could help?
