Corky Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 We had schmiechal on the bench we should of put him on in extra time And what if he didn't save any?
Rincewind Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 I'm going over to general chat until Sunday. Perhaps some normality will return here by then.
paddy Agyemang Posted 21 September 2011 Author Posted 21 September 2011 Well it doesn't matter as he is a good keepper that don't mess up every week but the only reason I'm taking it out on weale is cos he always messes it up
cc_star Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Well take the forest game last season when it went under him look at all the long range shots he's let in that are directly at him, look at the forest game this year when he comes out n concedes a goal to boateng ooo hang on let's not forget the embarrassment at derby when it went under his foot You're talking about tonight's penno shootout not going back through the archives we all know Weale needed replacing for prior mistakes on an ongoing basis, and he has been... what's your point?
Corky Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Kasper is a good keeper, far better than Weale, but it doesn't mean he's going to save every penalty he faces or perform better than Weale in the shoot-out.
hackneyfox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 I didn't expect him to stop one. He isn't a good penalty stopper. He isn't a good keeper, we got him off a lower teams bench. Being the reserve keeper doesn't excuse him, we have to replace him sharpish. I haven't seen the goals, but others have and think them soft, harsh maybe, but when was the last game that he didn't let in a soft goal? He's letting in more than he stops.
lcfcsnow Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 16 seconds in, absolute comedy keeping
hackneyfox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 I'd tried to blank that Watford goal out.
Happy Fox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Realistically who would want to be our 2nd choice keeper? he is the best available current option we have at this moment in time, do you not think for one moment that Sven would rather have someone else? of course he would, I expect come the end of the season Weale will leave, just be grateful we have a brilliant first choice keeper.

I'd rather have Ricardo on the bench, he would have been happy on the bench if we didn't force him out due to our moronic fans.
crisp monster Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Saw the goals and pens on Sky sports news and don't think you can blame Weale for any of them. Still don't think he's good enough though and a better 2nd choice keeper must be on Svens list
I am Rod Hull Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Peter Shilton saved 1 penalty in 125 appearances for England.... Just saying....
sdb Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 This shit is so boring now. He's our back up keeper. Let it rest FFS.
topharry123 Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Oh my god he didn't save a penalty let's just line him up and shoot him now along with all the goalkeepers that haven't saved one in a shootout and their team lost.....anyone got a few milliion rounds of ammunition?
Guest nathan. Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Just had to make my point How can you blame Weal for tonights loss
hackneyfox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 It isn't the penalties in this game though is it? He isn't good enough to be 2nd choice should we need to use him. It isn't easy to get a goalie on loan to sit on the bench, perhaps Stowell should sign as a player. I honestly believe that if he does start, due to injury, then we're fooked. We certainly can't go into the last part of the season with all transfer and loan windows closed with him on the bench.

If their player had blasted over and Fernandes scored this thread wouldn't have been started.

hackneyfox Posted 21 September 2011 Posted 21 September 2011 Okay let's torch him. Or just sign any bugger as a replacement.
Kitchandro Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 I'd rather have Ricardo on the bench, he would have been happy on the bench if we didn't force him out due to our moronic fans. Oh yeh, if only we still had Ricardo we'd not only be in the 4th round of the Carling Cup, we'd also have maximum points. Sven wanted to keep him because he was faultless and ridiculously impressive but because of our fans he didn't. Why oh why. Twat.

I said I'd rather have him on the bench than Weale, not starting. Maybe if you didn't come across as such a aggressive bell end people would actually value your points. I'd love to stop and have a trivial argument about who i'd prefer to sit on the bench but i really don't see much point.
Jace Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 what about getting Dean Windass back at the club as a reserve keeper? didnt he have a 100% clean sheet record didnt let in any penalties in goal??
