Now it's time to call out all the moaners and doubters

praps it is a mental thing.

but for all the play we had yesterday we was so ineffective. Service to the fwd's was dire.

So in two games we have seen how good and how bad we can be.

Think we need a Steve walsh type player/attitude.

We was plodding first half never looked in danger but never caused any.

Mills wears number 5 and got sent off yesterday, what more do you want?

People like me are fans and not a cancer to the club dragging it down every time things dont go just as you perceive they should.

We played away to a decent team for crying out loud, do you honestly expect us to rip every side we face home or away?

Get a grip on reality and show some support for your team rather than putting it down at every opportunity.

A shot on goal away from home would be nice.

One good performance and you decided to "call out" everyone that had a single bit of doubt about what we have signed. Pathetic.

I don't expect us to rip sides (apart from Derby in the last few matches against them) but I do expect us to use the ball better and provide good service for the strikers.

We had one meaningful attempt on goal yesterday, from our centre-back. We can do better than that.

More cobblers...

Southampton home win when they were top of the league.

Brighton home win when they were top of the league.

Two very very good away draws at Cardiff and Middlesbrough.

Topped off with a cracking win at home to Derby.

This is hardly one good performance.

How are we dragging the club down exactly?

I'd really like to hear you explain that.

All this unnecessary negative speak is like a disease, it gets into the bones of the club and be sure the players hear about the doubting comments.

As fans of the club we should be supporting our team and manager and not shitting on it from a great height every time we dont win away from home.

I honestly dont know what some of you expect, maybe you have all been cheating at Football Manager for far too long?

Fair enough it's not one good performance but we've had just as many poor ones.

Reading at home.

Bristol City at home.

Southampton second half.

Barnsley away.

Cardiff away (but because we got a draw people think it was good. It wasn't, Cardiff were shocking on the day and we were very wasteful with the space they gave us).

Birmingham away.

Even at Cov we were average at best, we just ground out the win.

So that's why we doubt. More than half the time we've been poor.

It's a football forum FFS. If they are playing poorly and don't want to read negative comments then they don't have to read them. I'm not going to hold back on my honest opinions because some highly paid arrogant player might take issue with some criticism.

You're just another one of those people who I can't stand, making up any excuse in the world for Sven and the players.

I'll praise them if they deserve it, if they play shit I'll say so.

And as for what I expect, maybe you need to look at a few threads from the summer, where pretty much everyone had the expectation that we would play good football and get automatic promotion. Nothings changed, that should still be the requirement.

You thought we played well at Middlesboro?? Good point maybe, good performance you must of watched a different game.

Brighton I'll give you, Cardiff was ok. Kasper kept us from a. 5-3 defeat v Soton.

Problem is there are more poor performances than good so far and nothing is showing to think that will change.

I guess that includes you. 10 Matches played, 4 against teams in the top 5. 4 consecutive clean sheets, 3 against teams in the top 5, the other team being joint 8th. 4 goals against the team who had previously won 3 of their 4 away games and who could have moved to 2nd in the league. Beckford and Johnson missing yesterday through injury. A truly memorable performance against one of this season's form teams.

I gotta say I feel just as despondent about it all as you. How anyone could feel even slightly optimistic beats me.

You seem to know so much about football and have such an amazing insight into the realities that others miss, you probably think I am not taking the piss!

You come out of hiding yet? lol

The current league table and yesterday's non-performance make any further comment superfluous

Well the current league table is more reflective of of early season ball ups against Reading, Bristol and farce at Forest. We were 7 unbeaten, so yesterday could well be a blip, but only time will tell.

I'm not sure what dragging this up proves exactly really, apart from how many petty people there are on this site.

Does that relate to this thread?

Is 'flowwolf' the other geezer from the other night?.....'ambitious'?

Yes Babylon it relates to you very own post saying the Bristol and Reading games were a balls up remember ? it was only a couple of post ago ?

Perhaps use the quote function, that's what it's there for.

I still don't get your point, we were 7 unbeaten Sunday could be a blip we don't know yet. And Birmingham away is a very different game to Bristol at home.

Oh and duplicate accounts are against forum rules and could lead to a permanent ban!!!!!!! I suggest you pick the one you want to use and let an admin know so that the others can be deleted.

I did not use the quote function as it was next to your post that is the only reason sorry about that i can see where that leads to confusion .  Delete any you want it's fine with me ( except me of course ) flowwolf that is . Yes I agree Babylon we have had a good run but my point was that I thought the tactics on Sunday were an absolute " balls up " . Against Reading and Bristol it was a balls up between players not used to playing with each other. But against Birmingham I though the guilty party was Sven with his negative tactics. Just an opinion that's all. I don't know why but it all seems rather aggressive on here

...and how easy it is for them to get positions of influence on here..

Beating top teams at home will count for little unless it is matched by decent away form - and to date it hasn't been, which the original poster in his over-exuberance chose to ignore.

I'm sorry, but you'll have to explain your theory about "positions of influence" a bit more detailed - because I don't get it.

If there was any sort of "influence" around, in order to prove your own theory, you'd have been banned a long time ago.

Does that make sense?wink.gif

And up until last Sunday, our away form was more than just decent. We were unbeaten in all five away games prior to the Birmingham game.
