Now it's time to call out all the moaners and doubters

Derby were poor though .

Yes they were, but not totally bad, Leicester just made them look very average. It is what happens in this league from time to time.

Konchesky , Bamba and Mills have really started to get their game "dialled in" now and it shows, the others have much more confidence going forward.

Howards energy and passion was a pleasure to watch and when Mills legged it 50 yards to congratulate Nugent just epitomised the performance for me,

There was a moment when Bamba got a bit silly with the ball and 2 players told him to stop being a numptie once the danger had gone, a real concerted team effort to not lose the game, or concede a goal.

All in all, a very satisfactory result.

Why do you have to do this after every game?

Sensational win today but don't forget we have lost at home to Bristol City who today got thrashed five nil at Blackpool..

It's a long and tough season and tues nights results show that anyone can beat anyone, at least at the moment. By Christmas we'll be more in a position to judge what's what and who the breaking pack will be.

Neither a Sven bummer nor Sven lover be..

This don't make me negative... Just makes me careful and cautious about not shouting out too loud.. At least not yet.

Although yesterday's win was something beautiful to behold... lol

Mentioning our lost to Bristol City is pretty anal too!

Why not mention our wins V Brighton and Saints who are top and also our away draws at Boro and Cardiff who are both top 10 teams!

Yday we whupped a team who again are a top 6 team!

No it's not, it's just a fact.. Like beating Southampton and Brighton at home are facts...

Why is that 'anal'... Even Sven himself said that the

championship is a very difficult division and that it sometimes doesn't matter if you are playing the top or the bottom team.

Just keep your feet on the ground raj! lol

You harp on about the Bristol Defeat and i'll think about the saints,Brighton and Derby victories!!!!

Your right about keeping your feet on the ground tho,as i nearly gashed my leg jumping up for the 4th goal...not good when one is running the half marathon next weekend.....

I think instead of having a thread based on the moaners and Sven doubters, i would of been more inclined to start a thread on the Nugent doubters. I remember tons of people saying how much of an uninspiring signing and how he was crap....

that would of been much more apt i think...

Mack you really must be the most fickle imbecile on this entire forum. To claim intellectual victory on the basis of a small good run of results, albeit topped off nicely with a fantastic win against our rivals, shows whimsical disputation.

I watched the game yesterday and was suddenly struck by the notion that perhaps I have been wrong about Sven. Perhaps this guy really has got what it takes to take us to the PL. But let us see how we play in the dull away days at Watford and Doncaster on rainy tuesday nights because history shows that this is where promotions/championships are won, not at home fixtures with the crowd behind us.

Great performance yesterday.

If you are going to rip me like this I think you need to back it up.

But you will be pissing in the wind because all you will find from me is support for Sven.

Let me tell you why it's time to call you all out.... It's because the moaners and doubters are like cancer to this football club.

Do you think our players, our manager and our staff need to hear negative derisory comments from their own fans? Do you think it helps?

Now if something is wrong it's wrong and it should be called such a thing.

But so many on here shot their bolt and started shouting Sven out way way too soon and showed themselves up as both fickle and inept at reading the game of football.

Support your club, dont **** it over.

"Small run of results"

Only if you promise to do the same

Nobody's shouting too loud - they're giving credit where it's due. And there was absolutely no comparing yesterday's performance with the underwhelming efforts against Bristol City and Reading. Or even victories over Coventry and the draws against Scunthorpe and Cardiff.

It is no fluke for anyone to keep four successive clean sheets but what is so much different now is that we're winning the ball much higher up the pitch partly because our confidence and familiarity is growing.

And yesterday, although we still wwnt into caution mode for a while we didn't really give Derby the sniff of a hope and had the sense to attack some more as they took risks and then wilted. Retaining our sense of puirpose for the whole dgame made a significant difference to our goals difference on top of the three points collected.

What's needed next is more counter-attacking pace enterprise away from home so we can return with wins instead of draws.

This thread is even worse then the negativity. We had one amazing result vs. Derby and everyone's acting as if we have won the league already. There are a lot more games to play, and you don't know whether we will get promoted or not, so cut the "OMG MOANERS R STOOPOD" speeches. I seem to remember someone made a thread about us being a mid-premiership team after our run of form/game against Derby last season. That didn't turn out so well did it? Save your I told-you-so speeches till the end of the Season.

Now that rants over, it's fair to say that we have been steadily improving; with the form we had at the start of the season, I would have been pushed to agree that we'd finished in the top 10. However our current form could easily see us win promotion if we manage to keep it up. Our current starting back four look to have finally clicked and have so far been outstanding; I think having Nugent back has really showed what we were missing though. If Beckford manages to gain form too, we could possibly be the best side in the league. Playing like this, we should smash most teams in the league.

Amazing game. Let's hope we can keep it up!

Well said. I have been thinking the same. :appl: :appl: :appl:

We're still not the finished article, we need to get into the top six then I think a psychological barrier will have been hurdled.

I've been impressed with our last three home performances, we need to continue with it and not feel like we achieved something yet, because we can go much higher.

One game, one decent result. Still outside the top 6.

The number of empty seats tonight can't all be blamed on premium prices and live Sky coverage.

Many fans have yet to be convinced about this team.

Where's that slap around the face emoticon Daggers uses sometimes?

I guess that includes you. 10 Matches played, 4 against teams in the top 5. 4 consecutive clean sheets, 3 against teams in the top 5, the other team being joint 8th. 4 goals against the team who had previously won 3 of their 4 away games and who could have moved to 2nd in the league. Beckford and Johnson missing yesterday through injury. A truly memorable performance against one of this season's form teams.

I gotta say I feel just as despondent about it all as you. How anyone could feel even slightly optimistic beats me.

You seem to know so much about football and have such an amazing insight into the realities that others miss, you probably think I am not taking the piss!

Mugs...

That's all.

People like you who come on and gloat after one very good match are just as bad.

If it all goes tits up at Birmingham you won't have a leg to stand on.

Totally agree with this. There have been a few times this season and last where we had a chance of breaking into a play off spot and we have blown it each time.

People like me are fans and not a cancer to the club dragging it down every time things dont go just as you perceive they should.

We played away to a decent team for crying out loud, do you honestly expect us to rip every side we face home or away?

Get a grip on reality and show some support for your team rather than putting it down at every opportunity.

How are we dragging the club down exactly?

I'd really like to hear you explain that.

praps it is a mental thing.

but for all the play we had yesterday we was so ineffective. Service to the fwd's was dire.

So in two games we have seen how good and how bad we can be.

Think we need a Steve walsh type player/attitude.

We was plodding first half never looked in danger but never caused any.
