Now it's time to call out all the moaners and doubters

Behave. Our day has been coming and Derby was THAT day.

1 win and the cheerleaders are out

1 defeat & the people seem to take glee in a defeat are out

We're going to be in for a long season of to'ing & fro'ing being the mid-table outfit that we are as it's inevitable a good performance will follow a bad one as both sets of fans gather ammunition to prove their points and both sets of people will be correct as all good performance followed by bad one's is perfect recipe for mid-table.

We need a winner in the dugout, someone who doesn't accept sub-par performances & carry on doing the same thing regardless, and for that we'll have to wait until the summer, so until then we may as well all pull in the same direction & get behind Sven & the team.

Would be nice to get some winners on the pitch. When Mills and Howard are missing we seem desperately short of genuine leadership.

I'm going to hold my hands up here.

I believed Sven would get things right given time, but given the performances against Birmingham, Watford and then Millwall I no longer believe that.

He has had enough time to get his team going, it's not happening.

The tide is turning.

I've been very critical of Sven in the past but I don't jump on bandwagons. I wasn't convinced 6 months ago and I'm still not. I thought it was best to give him a pre-season, new squad and go from there but it isn't happening. The fact that our attendances are still about the same since the "revolution" and that there are so many "Sven's great" and "Sven's not great" threads on this forum shows just how inconsistent we are as a side.

It's okay saying where are the doubters, it's obvious. They aren't jumping up and down at beating Derby, they're waiting for the next bottom half team to come and pinch 3 points from our inconsistent millionaires.

I've given up getting excited by the odd result because it's becoming obvious to many that this team and this manager lack the leadership and the strategy to take this division by the scruff of the neck and string some decent wins together.

I REALLY hope we go up this year I really do, but you'd have to be very optimistic to see where the consistency and winning runs needed to do that are going to come from.

I'm still behind Sven (for now) because I know what we can do when we play well and still be right in the promotion race.

I may be deluded though.

If you remember when Mancini took over Man City it took a while before it clicked. :crylaugh:

He has finally finished what Sven started.

We haven't clicked yet but it will be interesting to see what the moaners think then. We played bad yesterday so I'm not exscusing the result and Svens game plan.

I'm sorry, but you'll have to explain your theory about "positions of influence" a bit more detailed - because I don't get it.

If there was any sort of "influence" around, in order to prove your own theory, you'd have been banned a long time ago.

Does that make sense?wink.gif

And up until last Sunday, our away form was more than just decent. We were unbeaten in all five away games prior to the Birmingham game.

Yet we only won of them, despite coming up against shocking teams like Forest and Barnsley, as well as Cardiff, who were shocking on the day.

For a promotion side I judge that as very average.

Nice sentiment!

for what it's worth i'm a season ticket holder and have been to every away match so far but enough is enough-i won't go to another city match until sven the destroyer is gone

it's gonna kill me but hopefully i'll only miss two or three games!

There are quite a few feeling this way now...

Ive stopped going to away games which I usually love more than home matches

But no way am I forking out thirty quid plus expenses to watch the sort of game Sven insists on playing.

It just is not value for money.. Sure I feel a little guilty but I guess I'm voting with my feet

Until we look and play like a team that's gonna put up a fight away from home this won't change

At least those who dared question Sven arent hounded down anymore any time they mention something negative anymore.

Ive tried to be constructive with my posts, in fact i actually said after the Derby game i thought the team looked like it had goals in it, but unfortunately theres no way the team, the way it currently is, is going to threaten promotion.

After a quarter of the season, teams by and large do tend to hang around to their position to the end of the season. By then you have usually played a fair mix of good, average and poor teams and theres a definite style of play to the team.

Theres simply no use or point to expecting we will all of a sudden go on a run of results based on nothing else but blind faith.

Albert Einstein said that ''insanity was doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result'', and yet this is exactly what we seem to persevere with. Why not try something, ANYTHING different?

Probably the fact you have defended Sven for so long and finally have come to realise how he hasnt improved us.

Well at least I am honest.

Some people on here were calling for him to be sacked when I created this thread after only a handful of games.

In my opinion that was jumping the gun, but there are no excuses now, it's been long enough and the improvements are not there.

If that's side splitting I must be missing something mate.

I also am sticking with Sven, as quite frankly, at this stage of the season, bringing in a new manager will achieve sweet f--k all. Nor can I think of anyone who could replace him. Forget MON, as he won't come if offered the job. We have seen this side perform well, but Mills sending off,has done nothing to help us as a team. He let us down badly, by being so foolhardy, and hopefully he will be determined to steer our ship into calmer waters.Still, having said that, it is still worrying that Sven has not got the team bonding consistently.

What's funny?

That you were taking the mick and basically laying in to anyone who dared to question Sven, then 3 games later you are agreeing with them!

That, my friend, is what they call fickle.

So now we know Top was also "one of us"

Anyone sorted that thank you banner yet?
