wellyfox Posted 7 October 2011 Posted 7 October 2011 That looks so good pen 2 away fans in pen1 so happy days. I remember when the Queen came to leicester. Me and my mate cycled into town to see her ( so we told our mums so we could skip school). We had to tell em what colour she was in so watched her pass the cattle market. Then went down Filbo, the gate on filbert street was open so we went in. Wallington was doing extra practice just taking crosses. We stood under the boxes throwing the balls back as he tipped em over the bar. The guy throwing em in asked if we could head a ball n I said yes. Nxt min I'm on the peno spot waiting for crosses put the third one past him. Was so happy the nxt day stood in pen 2 we played Swansea done em 3-0 I think. Then my mate said how much better would it have been if you beat him up this end yesterday Bastid I hate him for that. You think that could happen now. So miss that old ground. You done a great job n will be going to see it :chant:

But I have memories of a 3-3 draw with liverpool and I believe they drew 3-3 with liverpool in 1984, so i still dont know now for certain what my first game was.

We done the double over liverpool took a home record off em ask alan young. n never lost to any of em. Yes great results but we went down. Pegosteve Posted 8 October 2011 Posted 8 October 2011 Arsenal Cup Replays in the 70's and 38000 crammed in.. Went straight from school and gates opened at 6.00pm for a 7.30pm kick off!! I can see my crush barrier under the Keble Construction sign...oh many happy memories!
