Stay Positive Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I've just been going through my bank and visa statements for 2011, and I'm quite alarmed to learn that I've spent over two hundred quid on Costa coffees this year
Yojoe36 Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I don't think I should say how much I've spent at Greggs.

That spend will have earnt you about 2 free lattes
Stay Positive Posted 9 October 2011 Author Posted 9 October 2011 Hope you have a loyalty card. That spend will have earnt you about 2 free lattes Ha. Yes I have. Actually I've had several freebies. I guess I ought to have known I'd spent a lot, seeing as the staff start doing my coffee as soon as I walk through the door, before I've even said what I want...

I reckon you could have topless baristas and your slippers warmed if you wanted.
nothin2seehere Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 My average *monthly* coffee spend has to top £25. Insane. and I always tell myself it's only a treat. Right.

Hmmm there's a thought. There are one or two very attractive girls there. If I got the wrong one though, it'd put me right off my banoffee cupcake.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I spent £283 on subway two years ago. In one sitting right?
skinnydipper Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I spent £283 on subway two years ago. Easily done
ScouseFox Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I've withdrawn 300+ quid from the cashpoint in the pub car park in the last three months. Pretty much all spent in the pub. Glad I'm not the only one who spends ridiculous and unnecessary amounts on things.
StanSP Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I don't even want to find out how much I've spent in McDonalds and/or Subway in the past year. It'd make me jump off a very tall building!

Rincewind Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I'd hate to think how much of my JSA is spent on beer. Although I am trying to cut down on my spending. Not been out for a Sunday Lunch today. Never spent as much on the brewery trip yesterday as I thought I would (apart from the cost of it) There was free beer and some free food.
davieG Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Well you shouldn't be depressed about it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-15059266
Zingari Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Am I the only person that can go out for a few hours without feeling the need to go into a café or coffee shop for a cup of over priced warm slop ? i never buy coffee or tea when i'm out unless i'm out for the whole day and even that is pretty rare as i tend to go straight for the lager or guiness
Soar Fox Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I'd love to have £300 to spend... The joys of only paying £30 a week board. Won't be able to spend that much when I move out.

Rincewind Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I have a coffee at the Coffee Republic on Tuesdays when there is a Citizen Eye Coffee morning meeting. I have visited various city centre coffee bars since being out of work. Thought I might save money but some places the cost is as much as a pint.

You know what? My missus has always said that she'd be more upset if I had a lapdance than if I got drunk and slept with somebody! I haven't tested this just yet... Incidentally, Cambridgefox, I always seem to take twice as long to read your posts. Your piccy is a tad distracting...I think I'd like to see that film...

It's not from a film - it's just a pic of the average night out in the Fens.
