Signed up for a couple of job sites. Just had a check of my email. One site list your chances according to your CV. Just had a look. Theres about 10.. One in Leicester which is for an English teacher. one security officer in Harrogate, and nearly all the rest are out of Leicester and English teachers.

I never put down that I was a teacher.. And I put the distance as 15 miles, which is really too far. Same with other sites. Keep getting alerts for jobs in Oxford and Northampton.

This is on the top of the list as urgent. Dont know what the job is even.

Key Stage 1 Teaching job in Waltham Forest

£110 - £130

per day Waltham Forest

Timeplan Education

Pays OK though..

Isnt it a bit self explanatory?

not what I put down for though. Only know it's teaching children and acording to the sites system my CV has scored 7/10 for being close to requirements. Which means I should apply for the job. I have a C in GSCE English from night school. Hardly a top grade applicant..

It's in London anyway. A bit far to travel each day..

I would guess that 100 odd quid a day doesn't stretch that far in London?

Having parked at morrisons last season I've been getting parking fines through the post but have been ignoring these as nothing more than speculative invoices. However today I've received a letter from the county court business centre in Northampton, is this a last/another attempt at scaring me into paying or are they intending to take me to court?

It looks like someone has raised a claim and is going for a ccj against you.

Can they prove you've actually gone to the game?

They don't need to if he has broken any of the terms and conditions for parking there.

There's forums dedicated to this sort of thing, I think http://www.pepipoo.com/ is one.

Basically it sounds like yes, they are taking you to court. So don't ignore it. You might still end up not having to pay or go to court though. Have a look at that site and ask them.

I think the concept of not paying only tends to work if you do it once or twice on the basis that it's not cost effective for them to spend their time chasing you. However if you have amassed a significant number of tickets, it's probably worth their time pursuing it.

Thanks, I've had a brief look at pepidoo and it looks to have a lot of helpful information on.

I think the car park has only recently changed over to another company so any other tickets surely wouldn't be known to them, however I can't remember getting any others though I got one at the end of the previous season. And looking at the date it was issued was the Friday after the Doncaster game so there wasn't even a match on. Was there anything else going on on the 9th may? I can't think of anything.

Don't pay them, send them a letter disputing the car was parked, claim it was moving the entire time. They will only have anpr cameras at the entry exit, so can't prove you have broken the contract.

If you overstayed in a car park suck it up, pay the money and call it a life lesson.

Whether the company are cowboys or not doesn't really make a difference imo

I wouldnt pay them a penny, who has lost out from you overstaying?

Exactly. It's a free car park so I've not avoided paying any parking fee and the car park was far from full so the supermarket didn't miss out on any trade.

It doesn't cost a bank £15 to process an overdrawn payment and noone would lose out if they charged less but they don't because they want people to stay within what was agreed.

If the signage was clear I don't really get the difference - you know the details in advance and have the option to go elsewhere (in both cases) if you don't like it.

It's not the cost of parking that's in dispute - it's the time limit.

They have a time limit so people only go there to use the facilities there and not park for work all day or to go to the football. If they didn't enforce it then the car park would be rammed on a matchday. I really don't see what the issue is and why you don't just pay and learn from it.

If it is cowboys and they don't have a leg to stand on then he should definitely look into it. Other than that I fully agree, it's private property and you've not got any right to park there during the football.

I have a sign in my windscreen, that clearly states no parking fines will be paid. They could refuse me entry if they didn't like it.

I can't tell if you're trying to be funny or are just not very clever.

How about we just agree to disagree on this one...

The point is, there is no signed agreement in place. You can't be held subject to a contract you haven't accepted. You aren't breaking a law, you aren't breaking a contract, you aren't even breaking an agreement. Only a mug would pay.
