At the minute we are shit and inconsistent. Looking back to previous seasons, alot of teams who end up in the top 6 all have had shit runs. Look at Blackpool the season they went up. Came from nowhere. They pulled it together and got promotion. Dont start attacking me for standing up for the team I love. If you want to slate the team then you go right ahead. See where it gets us. Who's attacking you! You keep saying it will come good but make no explanation as to how? We've had money and players since the start of the season and can put on a performance like today... Stop making broad statements and explain yourself.. If you can't all your doing is assuming...

BlueSi13 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 We have shown some pure class against Brigton, Derby and Southampton thats fills me with confidence. If Sven gets us to play like that all the time we'll be laughing. It cant get any worse after today. We were average and methodical against a Brighton team that didn't show up on the day...CMS should have buried his sitter though. How we got a win out of the Southampton game i'll never know....that leaves the Derby game....one good performance. It isn't good enough, pro-Sven and anti-Sven can all see that.

Something has to change, whether it be the squad or the tactics but all this negativity is just harmful to everyone. Its time like these the players need everyone to get behind them. The 3 or 4 threads calling for svens head are just stupid. Fair enough if we were in the bottom 3 with no points but in reality we have had a decent start. 19 points really isnt that bad. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some people on here just need to take a breath before they post because some of the trash on this forum tonight is beyond silly. Not on a forum it's not, in fact getting things off my chest makes me feel a lot better, reduces my stress, and in theory makes it less likely that I will have a heart attack. So really, it would be more harmful if I didn't post anything negative. Can you stop with the points tally and look at the big picture, which is that we are playing shit most of the time? As even people who have been defending Sven have said, focusing too much on the league table at this stage can be short-sighted - as I could use the very same statistics in a negative way.

We have to give it to christmas before we start panicing. If we went on a 5 game win streak starting with West Ham, suddenly sven would be a god. I dont buy all this "the team needs time to gel" shit but its still too soon in my opinion. Fair enough, you think it's too soon. Hell I don't even want him sacked...yet. But I don't think it's ridiculous to suggest we are going nowhere under him.

I'd get on the phone and inquire about every left footed winger in the premier league or abroad who is not playing and get one in. I only think one because Gallagher, dyer and vassell can also play wing. I would then think before every game we play.....what is my plan A against this side and their formation and what on the bench gives me a Plan B? I'd then decide quickly who my best 2 or 3 central midfielders are and not keep changing them and have a firm word with Bkford to make sure his attitude is right or threaten bench or stands. Finally I'd have a word with Bamb and St Ledger and ask them to make my job as hard as possible to drop you when mills is back!

We were decent last season. I think Nugent, Kasper, Konchesky and Mills would have sufficed to be honest. This situation we have now means that decent players like Dyer and Howard barely get a look in because sven just sticks to his favourites. Im not going to lie, im worried about where we're going under sven but atleast he is honest. He knows we are shit. Its whether he will fix it over the next 5 or so games that really mattters.

They are good option Bs and impact subs on their day, but I'm disappointed that Dyer is the only winger in our squad, as he does not often play to Championship standard.

Because I like having my head in the sand I really want him to turn it around because I like him. Whether I think he will turn it around is another matter. I say 5 games because anymore than that and his head will be on the chopping block. Maybe it will give him a wake up call and he will really change things. Where is mystic meg when you need her.

But like you say they are great impact subs and really do make a difference. Millwall were shitting themselves when Dyer went charging at them. Half the time though the likes of Dyer and Howard dont even make the bench. Either he finds someone similar, but better, or he gives them a proper chance.

I'm late to this post Larry but I have to say you are being very ignorant. Sven has had an entire year now and he has never broken into the top 6, this was supposed to be the season where it all clicked but 13 games in and we get stuffed 3-0 at home to a very, very poor Millwall side so this is no 'knee jerk reaction'. This is a buzz word for the pro-Sven brigade it seems who conveniently forget to mention how long the guy has had in charge now. Wise up.

Fox92 Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Spending more money than most clubs and still not being in the top 6, playing four central midfielders instead of wingers, not even challening the opposition defence, being inconsistant, players showing no effort and loosing to clubs in the bottom three are all more embarrassing than wanting the man who controls all of this out.
