Have you read Yorke's book about some of the stuff Keane used to do to his players?

It would be the biggest disaster we could put into this football club.

Cloughie used to laugh when people mentioned how his players didnt like him, Leeds (and Justin Fashanu  ) apart, they adored them, ask any of the ones who played under him. You don't get great results from your players if they dont like you, Keane has no likeability whatsoever unless you follow a certain team who play in red.

So let's get this straight. You don't think Keane's a very nice bloke and who do you call as your first witness? Dwight Yorke.... :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh:

It's like asking Ian Huntley to testify against Gary Glitter. At least Keane has always loved and cared for HIS kids, as well as their mother.

Actually very few of the United side captained by Keane appear to be particularly likeable - Solskjaer being a possible exception. But their records of achievement deserve respect, even among who have grown hate Manchester United more than they hate Forest or Coventry.

Keane will have learned his lessons. No football manager succeeds in every job they take on.

Thracian and others have banged on and on about getting a man in with a "winning mentality" and nobody can deny that this is something which Keane has.

He was also a key player in one of the most attractive-to-watch Manchester United sides of the last 50 years; he'll be no long-ball merchant.

A positive, if underwhelming, appointment in my view, if he gets the job.

Bet he aint...

He's loony toons.......

But Keane is cearly very difficult to work with, players really don't like him in general. How is this any good?

Clive Clarke (who could forget Roy's fantastic "no heart" joke  , George McCartney, the list is endless.

The one thing he was right about was how footballers are no longer real men whose lives are controlled by their girlfriends and media, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Keane is the one I mean.

My mate as I said is the chief football writer on a Dublin tabloid. abd knows the people close to him, he would know Roy as well, and that's what he is telling me.

You also said O Neill was in talks at Belfry

Ppl forget what Keane did to Sutherland.

He commited suicide didnt he? Did Keane kill him?

Roy Keane will look and act a lot like this by the end of the season if he takes the job on. The beard of insanity is already there.

Don't do it Roy!

There really is a bunch of ***** on this site. Its pretty clear that GTIF is no wind up merchant, just a chap passing on his info. Yet you'll happily chastise the man whilst believing everything Bert says (no offence Bert, you seem to be a top bloke).

Let's just see what happens eh? Or shall we just pretend this is a game of FM like a lot on here seem to. Christ, I'm a ashamed to be a Leicester fan sometimes. - reading the tripe on here is akin to listening to the Monday mongfest.

Kind of shows thought that the odds mean very little. They've lowered the odds because of a big bet that could cost them a lot of money so want to minimize their losses. Had that bet not have gone on, he'd still be 25-1. If i went in and asked for a million pounds on Fergie the odds would drop to even to compensate (well maybe a slight exageration but you get my point !).

Still, is worrying seeing them drop at all because who knows IF the punter had any inside info!?

Living i Thailand, I do worry about the lack of real football knowledge here. Look at the Thai national team - successive appointments of Bryan Robson and Peter Reid (who said, when asked by local media whether he was planning on learning to speak Thai - "I can hardly speak English, let along Thai!").

Thais love big names, and they love Man Utd. Got a nasty feeling it could be Keane.

Keane showed up at a football match in Sydney back in April. The media went potty, thinking he was about to take the managers job at Melbourne Victory. Former team mate Bosnich said what a great coup it was for the A league.

Turns out he was just on holiday. Funny how rumours start when ex-pros get out and about
