BlueSi13 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Davies has achieved more than Sven ever will in the Championship. Which by the way is the league we're in. True, he won the play-offs. After spending a full season at Derby. The only thing he has achieved in his managerial career. Sven has won 23 trophies up to now, and he was never given a full season here. We were 2 points away from the play-off places when he was fired after 13 games out of 46. There was nothing to suggest we couldn't have at least gone up as play-off winners like Davies' Derby, however we will never know as Davies was given time, Sven wasn't.
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 To be fair mate, even if Sven never wins a thing for the remainder of his career, he has achieved more than Davies ever will. I think thats the point people are trying to make. So what, how is that going to take us up?
RedHux Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Apparently, Billy Davis never sleeps Apparently Billy Davies only spends three days a week outside Scotland.
yannkermorcunt Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Didn't the Forest Board get pissed off with Davies because he lives in Scotland and only did a 3 day week? committed? I think he argued that it was the results that counted and in the end he got the sack. No thanks Billy no mates

Davies took over no hopers who had just avoided relegation, within a year they were almost in the automatic places. Sven took over the richest club in the league with an already decent squad, within a year they were midtable.
Sods Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Billy Davies once said he hated the area, when he was a player here! Davies will do, this manager is literally just to get us in the prem then they will get rid im certain of it.
Chap84 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Apparently Billy Davies only spends three days a week outside Scotland. Apparently billy Davies throws his dummy out the pram everytime he don't get his own way.

Billy please.....
BlueSi13 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 So what, how is that going to take us up? Well it definitely won't now.
fox_favourite Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I would have to say that out of everyone that has been linked with Leicester so far Billy Davies has everything that the owners are looking for: experience in this league, knows how to get teams out this league and has some success from teams he's been I think they maybe regretting the Pearson decision now, whether it was theirs or whether MM had more to do with it, but never mind thats the past now..... Billy Davies for me. Def don't want Keane, Dowie and a few others that are being banded about. In another situation I would say Clark would be a fantastic appointment, young, hungry and I think a talented manager going places. But as the owners want promotion this season I would fear that if he couldn't do it, it wouldnt be good for him personally. The best thing for him is to stay at Huddersfield and get them promoted and then go from there. He does have masses of potential and Huddersfield are lucky to have him.

I am Rod Hull Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Well it definitely won't now. Do you think Sven would have got us up ? Have you seen us play ?
ajthefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Who were bottom off the table and relegation certainties when he took over. Come off it, we were 9 games in. Any half decent manager could've got us out of in a few weeks with the squad we had.
Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Who were bottom off the table and relegation certainties when he took over. Bottom of the table yes, relegation certainties you're talking out of your arse, or just saying it to be controversial. Besides we're midtable, not challenging for the autos.
toms Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I have said all along expect Billy Davies to be installed as the Leicester City manager next week, as he is the only man in the frame that fits all the criteria laid out by Tops .
I am Rod Hull Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Who were bottom off the table and relegation certainties when he took over. Behave....

Davies will do, this manager is literally just to get us in the prem then they will get rid im certain of it. That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm sure if we get a manager who isn't famous worldwide, he'll be out on his arse if he gets us promoted to make way for a bigger name. I'm convinced this is the main reason Pearson was pushed - not famous or foreign enough for the owners. I hope they realise what a massive mistake that was, as I'm sure giving NP more time and money to improve his squad would have got us where we want to be much quicker than all this chopping and changing will.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Billy Davies has a pair of bollucks where his tonsils should be
RedHux Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Didn't the Forest Board get pissed off with Davies because he lives in Scotland and only did a 3 day week? committed? I think he argued that it was the results that counted and in the end he got the sack. No thanks Billy no mates Yep. He said he was working whilst in Scotland in some sort of command bunker he has where he watches dvds of the opposition and the like. But the 3 day week really pissed our board off.

blueincornwall Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I dont think any of these names will be the next manager. We must all be patient, the owners have put a lot of their own money in, and nobody would sack Sven without a 'better' option already sorted. What's in the press is paper talk. The truth will come out in time, but I think that an even higher profile name, possibly a top european manager will be coming our way. (No I don't have inside info) I suspect that the reason that Sven went was that he failed to meet a key point of his (performance related) contract and any renegotiation from either side failed. Calm down, trust in Top, and wait for the roller coaster to continue in a few days !!!!
