carterfox90 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 dowie ??? or even mclaren !! my season ticket will be in the post back to them are we really sinking to new depths?? :frusty:
Craig Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Where on earth does it actually say we're considering Dowie? It says he's applied... Nothing more, nothing less. Calm down.
samlcfc1 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Why are people crying over Dowie? Like he'll ever be considered. Though I guess it does make you worry due to the lack of football knowledge of the owners. That Andrew neville should steer them clear hopefully!
Ashley Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Untill O'Neil pubicly comes out and says "I don't want the Job" I honestly believe we can pull all the stops out to get him as our manager once again. However am I being to optimistic? I don't think I am no. Should O'Neil not want the job I would take Billy Davies all day long. Billy knows this Division and how to get out of it. Should Billy Davies take over is there any other manager that has managed Leicester, Forest and Derby?

Stocker Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 What a mess this has become. From hopes of O'Neill, Hughes, Keegan, Benitez to Dave f*king Jones and Dowie. If either of those get the job I'm finished. I could just tolerate Davies if we can't persuade a decent manager to take the job but I'd rather get Martin Allen back than those 3, least we'll have a laugh along the way instead of being bored to tears again. Cant belive we will end up sacking Sven and getting in someone worse. Are the owners still thinking we will get promoted this season?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Billy Davies pleasee! quality manager, full of passion and will piss off the forest fans
Cropwellfox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Didn't Stringer say or tweet that there'd been 100+ applications - natural therefore that Jones and Dowie would be amongst them - probably Strachan too, as well as a whole load of other 'usual' suspects who get trotted out with every vacancy - Laws, Ince, Southgate etc etc I'm sure once Top and Neville have reviewed them, 97 or 98 out of the 100 have ended up in the round bin-shaped filing cabinet, and we know of those managers currently in work who we have permission to talk to, we'll actually hear about who we would like to interview. until then let's hope Stowelly can pick up a few points so the new manager actually has a chance to get us up.
Dan Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Need Billy Davies. Fvcking Dowie, you must be joking, that's the kind of appointment we'd have made in 2005. Absolute second-rate journeyman.
I am Rod Hull Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Aslong as it isn't O'Neill. I can only imagine that you are a very young lad who never saw us under O`Neill.... If he did come back (i doubt he will) you will see a overwhelming upsurge in support that you will never ever see again.... Now go get that ice cream and jelly before the ice cream melts.... EDIT ADD... Billy please...

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I didn't think real contenders applied for a managers job like how one of us would apply for a 'normal' job - it's a case of making of phone call, or being approached...?

They must present screengrabs of their best performing FM12 team. If they can get Exeter in the Champions League by 2021 they've got the job.
Ric Flair Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Never thought I'd be begging for a Billy Davies like this, what a horrible, horrible week. 10-0 West Ham tomorrow

Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Ask Thracian, he's applied before. Haha actually that reminds me, I have too. I was a student living in Leicester when Levein got the gig - I received a letter from Tim Davies (telling me I had been unsuccesful!)...might have a look for that later!
somebum Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Based on? This nonsense notion that nobody ever does any good the second time round. Which is really nonsense, since the second shag I ever had was better than the first which lasted about 3 seconds.

flanimal Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 O'Neill is the only man who can save us now. The club's future rests on how good the negotiator is that is trying to persuade O'Neill. I bet we don't even try and phone him.
Salieri Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 This nonsense notion that nobody ever does any good the second time round. Which is really nonsense, since the second shag I ever had was better than the first which lasted about 3 seconds. Yeah it is a tired old cliche that is bandied about a lot. Yes, there are plenty of examples of managers (and moreso players) being less successful second time around. But there has to be exceptions, doesn't there? I'm sure someone less lazy than me will find some...
