Shaking hands after a game shouldn't need to be "earned" no wonder people look down on football.

Football is kind of on it's arse in terms of respect anyway. People diving, racial abuse, fan bashing is all disgraceful. The hand shaking is just a fake gesture by a population largely made up of morons with a God-complex.

Should always shake win or lose whatever has gone on on the pitch. One of the first things you should teach kids is that sort of respect on a field.

No doubt some fans will "love it" because most football fans are buffoons.

I have to ask, what era do you live in? I believe Peltier has strong beliefs and he knows what our football club means to us. Green was awful the way he behaved after a slight bit of abuse. A disgrace! He's a crap unreliable keeper. Perfect for the England squad!

What does it have to do with living in any sort of era? They are supposedly professional sportsman, in no other sport would you see someone refusing to shake a hand at the end, even the toughest dirtiest boxers will always shake hands at the end of a bout.

Green got some stick, he gave some back. I hate the way some fans believe paying a few quid on a Saturday afternoon gives you the right to behave like a moron for 90 mins screaming abuse at someone.

Peltier has been great for us so far, vital considering how poor Pantsil appears to be, refusing to shake hands after a game you have lost just makes you look like a petulant twat. He could showed his care for the club by defending the 1st goal properly rather than ranting after final whistle.

Do we condemn Nugent for celebrating in front of the Derby fans? Of course not, they gave him shit, he can give some back, same with Green to us.

Green went over the top.

Half the fans wouldn't have minded if he'd just have turned around and out his finger to his lips.

Absolutely epic moment that was.

Green deserved everything he got.

Lee Peltier club legend after today, well done, well done my son.

Peltier knows what Leicester city means to us fans. I am entitled to my opinion because it's different from yours, doesn't make me a moron! It actually makes you rather shallow minded. I see you are yet another person that is happy to abuse people when hidden behind a computer, yet face 2 face I assume your a smiley guy and pretends 2 be pleasant... Truly some delightful people on this forum. I see what I have been missing out on! :giggle:

Usually I would agree with what you said there but Green was giving it back to the fans after West Ham scored their third goal. What he did after the match was pretty stupid for a professional sportsman to do, he ran the length of the away fans celebrating and could easily have incited violence between fans. It wasn't so much as Peltier refusing to shake his hand it was to stop him in his tracks and get his attention to give him a piece of his mind. Green was by far the least professional of the two.

I'm wiith MattP on this......

Didn't go yesterday so my comments have to be pretty general, they can be summed up as follows......

If you can't take it, don't dish it......

I'm very impressed with Peltier, unlike the rest of our recent additions he comes from the lower leagues and is intent on building a reputation rather than living off one. Not the finished article by a long way but simply one of our better performers week in, week out.

The handshake thing and the verbals with Green were a bit silly as I have no doubt he will realise, shows a degree of commitment a few more of our players could do with.....

I wasn't referring to you directly as a moron, I don't know why you thought I did? I said "some people". I certainly wouldn't hide behind anything either.

I'm a lovely guy, you have met me a few times.

I dont buy into the Peltier knows this club stuff yet mind, he's only been here 15 games.

Peltier is freak awesome... wish we could clone him & play him on the left too

I do like Peltier, but he was weak for their first and third goals, although SSL was more to blame for their winner, or maybe Mills was to blame, if he hadn't been sent off against Brum and been playing yesterday, he'd have stopped their third!

Peltier was shocking on both 1st and 3rd goals.

Personally I though Greens reaction at the end was stupid as it could clearly have caused problems had any fans got onto the pitch. It was clear the Peltier saw this potential and he clearly pointed to us as if to suggest he would not shake hands following such an inappropriate reaction from a professional footballer. I am sure he said something of that nature to Green who then became aggressive towards Peltier.

Do I support Peltier for making a point in a non aggressive manner in support of his clubs fans, damn right I do, he has gone up in my estimation no end. I want to see that sort of restrained principle and passion from the whole team.

well done Pelts..

Hero.

Wish he'd smacked Green at the end but top man!

Not been so proud of a City player for years. Made a complete twat out of Green. :scarf:

About 4 players to blame for 1st goal. SSL fouled by Piquionne in the box for third. As far as "nd goes try looking at Beckford,s non contribution and you will see that he upset the balance of the side for every minute he was on the pitch. Lazy ineffective couldn't care less attitude. Frequently giving the ball away. Never makning himself a target when we had the ball in midfield. Not getting any service cos he never once tried to get into a position to receive the damn thing. Looked a different side when the useless prat was subbed.

Can't really blame SSL for their 3rd, he lost out on a header against a tall striker. Bamba and Pelts should of anticipated the danger and covered for him, isn't that what being in team is all about?

The 3rd is 100% Pelts fault. He is tracking the runner and he gets caught watching the ball instead of Baldock as its flicked on.

Made up for it though not shaking Greens hand.
