As if the owners are going to appoint an unproven manager at any level, having said themselves that they want someone who has proven themselves. Same boat as us?! MILES away, get a grip! They can't see the future, no. But, they do have a greater say in the final judgement! that is what separates the fans from the owners. BIG TIME. Whether that is right or wrong, we are yet to behold. Lee Clark, proven track record in league 1? Not too sure, play offs, is that good enough in league one? To succeed Sven when top 2 is the target? Re think!!! I meant they are the same boat as us as when they are making the decision they can't forsee how the manager will do any more than us. Do you really think I was suggesting that the fans decide who we appoint? A lot of the rest of your post makes little sense.

Last I heard they were the ones who actually own the club. Apparently they've been pumping some money in, so I hear, which i'm guessing gives them reasonable dibs on the odd decision here and there

Blueforever Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Truth is we don't know how any new manager will do, I have my favourites but at the end who ever is appointed will be a risk and to start with deserves support (apart from Roy Keane obviously) Football is full of managers doing well or badly at clubs and then going and doing the exact opposite Olly got us relegated and the next year got Blackpool promoted and who would have wanted Alan (lock your daughters up for the love of god) Pardew before he went to Newcastle. Whoever comes in I just hope they get off to a good start - if they don't the pressure will be on
