the terriers! Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 lee clark is a very passionate manager (huddersfield fan btw) and i think he may be joing you this week. on saturday after our win at yeovil he went over to fans and waved good bye, said in an interview he is sad to be leaving and had a meeting with players yesterday about something but wouldnt sayy. now i love lee clark and hope he stays with town but i doubt he will and i would be happy for him to join you because you are a fantastic fooball team and want to wish you good luck. you would have a very good manager in lee clark and he will get your promoted this season and i hope he does. also, how is lee peltier done since he left us? good luck for the season, you could go 31 games unbeatan
Ric Flair Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Peltier faced a tough task of replacing Kyle Naughton, who was superb last season. He has done very well, is unlucky not to have scored 2 or 3 more than he already has and defensively he's very reliable. If Clark settles in as quickly as Pelts then i'd not have the concerns I do about him. So all in all Peltier is class.
jonno24 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Undecided on this one only time will tell But he definately has the Passion that is needed at the club at the moment.
Guest MattP Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Pelts has done very well so far this season and has won the RB spot over Pantsil with ease which few predicted. He is still a work in progress and not completely competent defensively but he has made an excellent start here.
lcfc_amie Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I wasn't sure when we were 1st linked. But now the idea is definitely growing on me, think he is a good manager and has the passion that we need. Would be happy if we got him now. Pelts had been great for us. Was an instant hero for me scoring the winner against Coventry on his debut! Been one of the best signings of the summer along with Kasper and Nugent. Good luck to you too for the season - with or without Lee Clark
FallenAngel Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 How come the local reporters don't mention he was waving goodbye??

Dan Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Happy with this. Also, credit to you lot, such a difference in attitude than the likes of Bristol City who were absolutely loaded with bitterness when we were even linked with Maynard. Very much hope you lot come up, under-rated support and a good club at that, and I hope your run can go on.
EnderbyFox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Happy if this is true, could have been a lot worse. (Strachan!)
Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Pelts has been our best signing in my opinion because unlike our other signings he's had to take a step up and coped better than some who have taken a step down. Not sure how I feel about Clark though - definate potential, but is now the time to be moving up a level?
Len Finsbury Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 The idea of Lee Clark is beginning to grow on me. OK, he hasn't managed in this division but he's been learning his trade at Huddersfield and if he stays with them, I've no doubt he'll get them up this year. It's not like he has no idea about stepping up to a bigger club. This is a guy who managed to play over 200 games for Newcastle, most of them during their Keegan pomp. He's knows what big(ger) club expectations are all about.
ScouseFox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Pelts is boss. Rather Sparky than Clark, mind. But I'll give him a chance, if he is to come.
Fox92 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I would take him. He does seem passionate (obviously you said he is and you watch them/him every week) and he does seem like a manager that can: a) get the players in a disciplined order and b) motivate the players - which are two things I never felt Sven could do. He is unproven at Championship level, but so was the likes of Paul Lambert, Martin O'Neill and Nigel Adkins. His first management job was at Huddersfield, and his record is second to none. I believe Lee Clark is an option that we should and can look at, and I do like him as a person, former player and manager. On a personal note, and if Lee Clark does or does not join us, good luck to Huddersfield for the rest of the season. I do like the club, you have a good history and a big fan base, and I have wanted Huddersfield to get promoted for ages now.
Libertine Dream Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I'm a big fan of lee Clark and would love him to become part of our new management team, definitely has the desire and passion we need for our manager. Some of the things you've noted, I hadn't seen myself so not sure how true they are, but I hope they are. As for Peltier, I think I'm one of few that doesn't like him, maybe because he's got Naughton's big boots to fill. Prefer him at centre back than right back, because he seems too slow, negative and has a poor final ball. Seems like he needsto better his decision making and not always listen to Wellens or Johnson trying to slow the play down because it's their only objective.
Narborough_fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Peltier is a hero to put it simply. Wear's his heart on his sleeve and show's so much passion for the club. Good luck for the season with or without Clark.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 would Fazakerly return? Since he left us when Sven went I highly doubt it.
Lillehamring Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 If you read his interviews it does give the impression that he's paving the way for a departure. i know nothing about him so can't say whether i approve or not, the only thing that seems a little weird is that it would definitely go against the owner's desire to have high profile, global names attached to the club - he doesn't exactly scream glamour and i'd be concerned, especially if we need don't go up this season, whether he would attract the calibre of payers we now hope/expect to attract.
Guest shearfox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Surely Lee Clark doesn't tick the boxes for who the owners are looking for. He could be a great manager no doubt but a risk it would be and he wouldn't have the contacts to easily get the players the owners would want at the club.
Collymore Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I was talking to a huddesfield fan on holiday who said he wouldn't be sad to see Clark go. Good at rebuilding teams but he said he would need time, something that we haven't got! When Sven was sacked it was on BBC World with the ticker showing "Breaking News" Alternating between Sven and the Turkish earthquake. I couldn't believe it, we really are getting well known.
J.Lisemore Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 We don't need big name players to get out of this division. We need a settled team who are willing to put their neck on the line for each other. Clark might just encourage that.
Leicesterpool Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 The only worry is he's never played or managed at this level before.
the terriers! Posted 31 October 2011 Author Posted 31 October 2011 i noticed someone said they dont like pelts becuase he is slow but at hudders he was like lightning down the wing so you may be right about him listening to ritchie wellens too much! when i said he said he was sad to be leaving it wasnt after the yeovil match it was different interview (sorry for confusion) and thankyou for our own good luck messages back. i want billy davies to replace lee clark. go on youtube and type in huddersfield v bournemouth penalty shoot out and at the end it shows clark running round and hugging fans and our owner if you would like to see the amount of passion he shows!
whitwickfox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 why the f00k would clark want an assistant to hold his hand. doesnt this mean the board like lee clark, but dont think he can hack it on his own. if it doesnt work, then who gets the bullet clark or KK. sorry just cant see clark agreeing to have keegan sitting on his shoulders . too much aggrivation and arguing for it to work.
