DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Making the 'V Sign' with your fingers could possibly be deemed as an offence under Section 5 Public Order, but then that means half the stadium will have to be arrested for swearing, abusing away fans, etc. Cant see how you writing to the club will make a difference though, nothing will happen either way. Making a V in public, is indeed a Section 5 offence. He was lucky to only get a warning.
Filberts Treat Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Why do you need a poppy to show respect? What a stupid question Making a V in public, is indeed a Section 5 offence. He was lucky to only get a warning. Goody goody
easilee Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Fvckers are there to protect and serve the crown, not us. One bad one tars so many. Cnut.

Is this SECTION 5 a statute or is it in accordance with Common law ? I would imagine the former. If so they can stick it up their arse. No 'crime' has been committed.

BoneDog Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 John, is that you? If it is I could do with a bit of advice!

If anyone is going to prosecute anyone for making a V sign at a football match against the opposition then it's game over.. We might as well all take up knitting, stay in all the time and drink herbal tea and eat nut roasts.. The PC world we are living in IS barmy
MrSpaM Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I wish they would have sorted the two Leeds fans out who were sitting about 10ft away from me in our section. Spent the last ten minutes of the match standing up singing Leeds songs and absalutly nothing was done about it by the stewards or the police. Complete joke. Was quite happy to see them getting punched in the face by a few of our fans as we left.

leicesterseddon Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I was one of the coppers holding back the Leeds fans. One of their own elderly fans had to be treated by St Johns after being pinned against a barrier by the shoving. I appreciate that people want to celebrate and admit that I jump around like a loon when City pot a goal. I must stand up to the racist comment because that person in particular wasn't even arrested as far as I know. He was ejected and that was at the request of the stewards. As for the young lad that was given a hard time at the start of the thread, I agree that it is totally out of order if he has not done anything wrong. Some coppers admittedly go on power trips and give the rest of us a bad name. Policing a game is hard work but I personally try to allow the banter and the fun that football brings. Please don't tarnish us all with the same brush. Rant over. Cheers! Can't be that bloody hard. Surely 95% of the time you're just standing there watching the game?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Can't be that bloody hard. Surely 95% of the time you're just standing there watching the game? It includes before, during, and after games. I never found it easy at Reading, Oxford, or Wycombe.
Raj Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Next time get the collar number and name of the officer involved and have a word with his superior albeit Sgt or Inspector. But when you do have a word dont rant and rave and you'll probably get somewhere. If you make an informed request to his superior to look into his behaviour in theory he has to look into it. Just for the record there are alot of decent coppers out there but just like City fans there are bound to be a few ****** too
