Today, I was disgusted to witness something totally unnecessary and brutal.

Standing in L1 today, there was a bit of scuffling before the match when a Copper grabbed the smallest lad on our row (only about 16 years old) aggressively and pulled him towards the barriers to threaten him about his behaviour (he was singing...).

About 5 minutes later, this same copper goes steaming in (for no reason again), grabs the lad and pulls him over the barrier with his feet in the air and then another 5 coppers then run in and use excessive and unnecessary force on the young lad. I was totally disgusted - this copper blatantly just picked on the smallest youngest kid there.

When the cop was questioned as to why the lad was arrested, he just shrugged and ignored us.

Later on in the match, the same copper threatened another lad aggressively that he would be arrested if he put the 'V's' up again at the away supporters...

This isn't the first time I have seen this in L1 and frankly I've had enough. I feel sorry for the lad who was assaulted and feel that he needs some justice. I will be writing to the club to complain and if anybody else seen the incident then feel free to comment but also write your letters to the club and if nothing is done about it then it should be taken further. Do they think we are mugs and that the police can do what they want because they have some sort of power? This has got to come to an end - when you can't sing at a football match without getting nicked, football is finished for the fans.

If anybody knows the email address/written address to send complaints to - it would also be welcome

Making the 'V Sign' with your fingers could possibly be deemed as an offence under Section 5 Public Order, but then that means half the stadium will have to be arrested for swearing, abusing away fans, etc.

Cant see how you writing to the club will make a difference though, nothing will happen either way.

I got banned for 3 years when I was 16 for the exact same thing. Was on the end of my row and the smallest in it.. EASY TARGET. I was gutted and it ruined 3 years of my life just for swearing. Ironically that was against Leeds aswel. It's disgusting but unfortunately the police will always win.

If your stupid enough to swear in public and infront of a policeman, expect to be punished. Its the law. Just because everyone else is doing it is, doesnt mean you have to join in.

The police officer in question was probably bullied at school.

I bet the same copper who wrestled this lad uses the v sign himself sometimes.

It's a shame that some coppers don't seem to use their common sense. Someone should tell them that assault is illegal! Unfortunately some of them do love a ruck.

They'll end up starting a riot and get jumped on one day doing this stuff around pished up folk. I remember after a match against Chelsea some cops were herding me up a street near Filbo and they were jabbing me in the back with truncheons and pinching me trying to get a reaction. PINCHING ME I SAY!

you need to get the officer's number.. and film him on your phone or your not believed....everybody knows leicetershire police are the worsed in the country....but that kind of thing has been going on for years...having a uniform on gives them a free hand and they know it...totally out of order..

I remember getting told that I'd been recorded by police and that they had my name and contact details all because I was standing up, arms folded ON THE BACK ROW of SK1 watching the game.

I couldn't do much but laugh, it's madness. This lad should definately get in contact with the club and I'm sure he will. We can't be having this. Without us the club is nothing.

Fuck tha po-lice. _\|/_

(This is not serious. The majority of police do a good service to the public. Some a cunts, like every walk of life.)

Fair play mate. I think the Football Supporters Federation are good and at least by you coming forward and making a complaint it reduces the possibility of the bar steward doing it again. I was in L1 today but didn't see the incident. I was near the back and the 4/5 cooperate near me did a pretty good job.

I was in L1 today (as always) and witnessed right before kick off a police officer punching a leicester fan in the chest various times and felt abosolutley disgusted by it. its just a shame many of our fans didnt see it because there would have helped the lad out. With it being just before kick off everyone was clapping the team out which is why most missed it, i cant confirm the lad in question was being aggressive but it certainly didnt look like he deserved it as was only a young lad who looked like he was on his own.

The policing at our games our a discrace, ive had one come at me as i was walking out the ground against derby and pushed me around cause i was singing as walking out the ground and threatened if saw me again id be in the back of a police van.

It's not just at the footy tho is it? My stepson got assaulted by police when he was on a night out in town. Somehow the video of it from the security cameras didn't get lost and when his case came to court (yes the police tried to prosecute him for assault) you could plainly see they attacked him. From behind. Even the magistrate said the coppers who gave evidence hadn't even got their stories straight and that he didn't have a case to answer and advised that he could sue them. Unsurprisingly, the police didn't investigate the incident with a view to prosecuting the coppers for assault or even the perjury they had committed. We couldn't afford to bring a private prosecution so they got away with it. Happens all the time. They claim not to be, but are in fact, above the law.

Rant over. Just still gets me really angry.

I suggest this thread is closed because it has just turned into pathetic anti-police trash. One bad cop does not represent police as a whole and it really does piss me off when idiots come out with all this shit.
