Narborough_fox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 What did he do wrong today? Not a lot because he doesn't score he's "WANK". Give him a rest, he can't score every game.
accessory Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 agree, seems to be a boy playing with the men again.... LOST throughout all the game. needs a gooooooooood long rest. Or maybe we could offload him to Hull to join Hobbs and Fryatt?
Gibbo24 Posted 6 November 2011 Author Posted 6 November 2011 He not there to just score ! He supposed to be involved in the game aswell u plank
Bert Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Idiot. Didn't have a great game. Am I wrong (bar Logan) to say he's our longest serving player? He didn't have his best game for us, but he's not wank.
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 He not there to just score ! He supposed to be involved in the game aswell u plank Everyone has a bad day I bet you wasn't saying that at West Ham you tool!
Kitchandro Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 What did he do wrong today? Not a lot because he doesn't score he's "WANK". Give him a rest, he can't score every game. He should have more to his game than scoring. The fact that you even mention his scoring suggests that he doesn't. And I'd agree. It would be an overreaction to say we need to 'get rid', but he's not proving his worth at all. He's had one good performance this season and that was against Derby. Then he displayed his swiftness in possession, his football brain, his accurate passing, his confidence on the ball, etc. It's a real shame that he shows all this so infrequently. Most of the time, no matter how many times people try to argue otherwise, he is anonymous.
jprs1976 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Or maybe we could offload him to Hull to join Hobbs and Fryatt? no need to offload him to Hull probably wouldn't get in there side, not good enough at the moment, he has not performed well for weeks now, needs a rest just leaves us short in midfield.
accessory Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Everyone has a bad day I bet you wasn't saying that at West Ham you tool! So one good game out of sixteen is enough for you? Give me strength... :frusty:
Mack Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 He was awful today, yet Wellens seems to get all the abuse when he did more in 5 minutes than King did all game. Hey ho.
cc_star Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 One word to sum up Andy King WANK !!!!! We need to get rid , he does nothing all game just runs around not doing much !!! There's a couple of players in the squad who could quite happily leave, King is a genuine talent, yes things could be going a tad better but that's true of the whole team or haven't you seen either the table or any of our performances this season except for 1 or maybe 2.

It would be an overreaction to say we need to sell him, but he's not proving his worth at all. He's had one good performance this season and that was against Derby. Then he displayed his swiftness in possession, his football brain, his accurate passing, his confidence on the ball, etc. It's a real shame that he shows all this so infrequently. First of all it seems he was playing at the base of a diamond which isn't his position and he did get a lot of dirty work done but he's doesn't have the expansive passing of Wellens and he doesn't do runs like Gallagher. He needs the balls which he isn't getting and that isn't his fault he showed against West Ham he still has it so I think people need to get off his back.
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 So one good game out of sixteen is enough for you? Give me strength... :frusty: Andy is one of the best midfielders outside the prem he might be going through a bad patch so what everybody does! Why don't we just get a new team and start from scratch AGAIN! Get rid of king ffs!

He needs the balls which he isn't getting and that isn't his fault he showed against West Ham he still has it so I think people need to get off his back. Well he hasn't played at the base all this season. In fact some people were arguing he was playing badly because he needs to play at the base.Maybe the answer is that his all round game rarely shows up. Base, tip - it hasn't made any difference. It's not that the positions don't suit him, it's that he's not playing well enough. He needs the balls? He's not a striker, he's a midfield player, he needs to get the ball and make something happen. If he was standing in a good place to recieve the ball he might get it. It's the same with Beckord and Yakubu, people wonder why they are marked out of the game - it's because they don't bloody move and make it easier to recieve passes. The team is not there to put it on a plate for King, his job is to make something with the ball. And I didn't see him against West Ham, but I've heard he was anonymous there apart from his goals as well. Sadly his goals couldn't prevent defeat, but if his all round game was better that may have been a better help. But like I said, I didn't see it, so I don't really know.
Thracian Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 King was one of the few who still passed the ball quickly and accurately despite Leeds' fast closing down. The trouble was he became almost completely neutralised by his marker and this meant he hardly ever got forward and, unusually, didn't muster a shot. Leeds did a job on him but there wasn't much help coming from any other midfielder, particularly in an industrious sense. We were second to the ball almost everywhere and almost all afternoon.

VinceNoir Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Some say King, some say Danns, some say Wellens. Everyone is finding their own scapegoat, but the fact is that the entire club is a right mess at the moment and the players seem to only perform when the pressure isn't on (Burnley). At home the spotlight is on us and the players seem to choke. Hopefully the new manager will be appointed early this week and he'll have a few weeks to re-assemble the squad. We are right back to square one and the similarities to last season are frightening.
