Webbo Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 My middle daughter wants a graphic pad for her computer for Xmas. Can anyone recommend a good one or tell what to avoid. No more than £100ish please.
Fox92 Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Are they what you draw on? I think someone in my IT class at college had one of them.

Zingari Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 amazon do a good range under £100 reviews for this one ( wacom bamboo) and a few others by trust etc seem pretty good http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wacom-Bamboo-Pen-Graphics-Tablet/dp/B002Q4U4AE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320952894&sr=8-1 i quite fancy one myself now
21st Century Fox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Get a Wacom. They're without doubt the best graphic tablets around, every design studio I've worked in has them. I think they do an under £100 entry level one called Bamboo or something. Wacom though definitely.
Smudge Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Get a Wacom. They're without doubt the best graphic tablets around, every design studio I've worked in has them. I think they do an under £100 entry level one called Bamboo or something. Wacom though definitely. I have a Wacom Ptk440, it's a small one but works just fine, works very well with Photoshop. I paid about $200 for it. (£130 ish)
Mee Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 We have these at college. Work really well, highly recommended.
Ozwin Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Bamboo Touch is pretty sweet. Got one a few months ago and it's pretty responsive and if you have decent software to go with it it's really fun to use. Havn't touched mine in a while mind, need to get back into it.

21st Century Fox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Yeah probably check what she wants it for, if its general photoshop stuff or similar the Bamboo or Smudges recommendation would be pretty perfect for someone at school. If its more serious stuff then you get into things like X amount of different pressure sensitivities and sizes.
Alexikokopops Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 I'm pretty sure Finnegan used to spaff off over one at one point. It was either that or the image of Ryan Giggs waving the English (the country he should have represented) flag while crying about how rubbish Robbie Earnshaw is. I can't really remember. P.S. Finners, I actually randomly seem to remember you posting a picture of one of these once in something like the "What floats my boat" thread. However, I might be wrong. If I am, I make no apologies
Finnegan Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Wacom, Wacom, Wacom. The Bamboo is under hundred quid and very good for recreational use.
