easilee Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I saw this in a charity shop and noticed that it was signed when I got home. Who is it though ? Tried to find out but my attention span wavers after half an hour of looking at names. Any Ideas ? WSG is all I can make out.
easilee Posted 10 November 2011 Author Posted 10 November 2011 It's Michael. OK then. Who is 'Michael' pretending to be ?
easilee Posted 10 November 2011 Author Posted 10 November 2011 Michael's Nanna You could be right Oz. My Nanna got me Spiderman's autograph when I was a kid. Guarded that thing with my life.
Thracian Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 The only W.S.G. which springs to my mind is W.S.G. Needham.
21st Century Fox Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Think Thrac's right, certainly looks like to ee's and an h towards the end of the surname. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1962–63_Leicester_City_F.C._season
easilee Posted 11 November 2011 Author Posted 11 November 2011 The only W.S.G. which springs to my mind is W.S.G. Needham. The Surname looks like it begins with G rather than N. After a bit of research, could be W.S. Gardiner who made his debut in 1955. Not one for the safe then.
Houdini Logic Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 Thracian's right - every letter (other than a slightly exagerated 'N') looks right
