The Doctor Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 can't really respect teams that have been in league 1 and 2 for 100 years! good to hear we have support in other counties! no good if you live in devon but originally from leicester! refreshing to hear of fans elsewhere, rather then leicester and the county! makes us sound less tin pot! apparently we have a big following in thailand now, how do they know this for a fact!? Ohhhhh baby please, give a little respectttttttt to me! Grow the **** up boyo.
Simmo86 Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 I can't imagine how awful it'd be to lose a FL place and then make an absolute horlicks of it against Forest Green and Alfreton. Reading some of the Grimsby fans' reviews of their 5-0 defeat to Braintree really puts some of our shit away performances into perspective I can tell you. Weird thing was that some on Grimsby's forum were expecting them to tonk Kettering because of the number of players leaving the club and struggle against Stockport. On a further note, the pictures of Nene Park with Kettering's slogans all over it are bizarre. You're not wrong there, my housemate from uni is from Corby and there's a fair bit to commend the place now. Nothing like the place that was regularly listed in the Crap Towns book a few years back. Too right. I often go there with my father in law and it's bizarre to see. There's also a really strange atmosphere there right now as there's a number of Diamonds fans who still want their Saturday fix and but can't bring themselves to support the old enemy but go down anyway. Factor in that a lot of Kettering fans object to having 'home' games in a rival town and it's like Poppies are always playing away. Their results suggest as much. I think most fans would switch back to the old Rocky Road ground in a heartbeat. Had the same discussion with my mate about this subject yesterday, I was had pretty much the same opinion as you two, very strange them being there! But he loves it, just for the fact he reckons the Diamonds fans who see it all the time must had seeing their old ground plastered with their biggest rivals name and badge etc. As you say about the switch Paddy, the worse the results get, the more people want to go back to Rocky Road. Think they'll do well to see out the season as a club, in a right mess!
Aus Fox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 There is a fair few of us here in Melbourne, seem to meet more every time i go out in city colours
irDeano Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Lived in Hastings until I was 8 and moved up to Leicester. Not long after moving up my dad took me to a Leicester game and I've been going ever since. If I was still in Hastings, I doubt I'd be a football fan atm! Probably one of the few who actually moved TO Leicester rather than from
jgtuk Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Leicester born, now in Gwynedd, Wales. My Grandad took me to a few games as a very young kid, about 42 years ago and Its never crossed my mind to support any other team..... Just wouldn't be natural... My Daughter and Nephew both follow leicester too even though they were both born in Wales They've been to a few games, but my health isn't good so it's mostly TV, radio or streaming.. I'm loving this season - usual LCFC ups and downs but wouldn't change it for the world...
VinceNoir Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Born in Leicester, live in Denmark now. I try to get over to a few matches, but as a student it can be hard to find the money. Mind you, I've been to three matches in 2011 and loved it!
flowwolf Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Originally from Paderborn in Germany. But started to support city after we moved here and watched the great football under Bloomfield. Though I don't think there are many Deuschlanders who support Leicester.
PeteLCFC Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 I'm a Leicester supporter living in Japan for the past 10 years. Never meet a fellow supporter, but locals have heard of Leicester through Yuki Abe. Only get to see the grerat city when I make it back home.......
itwasthebobble Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Where is this smallish town in Northants? The wonderful town of Daventry
gruss10 Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 From Bournemouth originally - my first footballing memories all LCFC due to my folks being from there, now live in Dublin. Try to make as many games as possible, usually make most of the southern away trips.
Houdini Logic Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Corby is turning into a decent little town now, getting shitloads of council investment! Beats Kettering hands down! (even though thats not hard) Corby used to be akin to Beruit. Now it's akin to Beruit if Beruit had a River Island.
wellyfox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Ohhhhh baby please, give a little respectttttttt to me! Grow the **** up boyo. +1 But with the OP's attitude makes you wonder if he would be on here had we still been in L1. And had we never had the MoN years he would be a Man U fan. So sad we got these fans following our great club.
stockyfox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 There's quite a few of us in the North West - Greater Manchester and further afield. Might cause a bit of a stir next week though. Have booked for Deep Blue and myself to go on Man Utd's stadium tour and round the museum plus a meal after! When asked if we were fans, I said 'Yes - Leicester City'!

stockyfox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Or you gonna burn it down while ya there Wouldn't dream of doing that! would I? Anyway, after last night, their own fans might. Ambrose was only trying to copy Paul Gallagher!!!!!
milnerfc Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Really?! Whereabouts in York are you from? Got a season ticket and get to most games and see a fair few Leicester fans get on the train at Sheffield. It was a nightmare getting the train back after the Leeds game. Never lived in Leicester, have my uncle to thank for getting me hooked! I'm in acomb, are you in York? Anywhere near?
milnerfc Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 guy from York! what's your story about supporting city!? My old man is Leicester born and bred, always taken me to games since I was a young lad and I've never looked back!!
nedfox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Big up to all Hants Foxes now NP is back so are we!!
Hantsfox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Big up to all Hants Foxes now NP is back so are we!! Too damn right, Hants boys are here, watch out Saints.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Leicester born n bread live in wellingborough. Thanks for a typical up your own arse post from a leicester fan. No wonder no fvcker likes us. Had our new owners not come along we could be as shite as the 2 clubs above. Just try to show a little respect. They are not shite clubs just not as fourtunate as us. Well said
Spiritwalker Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Corby used to be akin to Beruit. Now it's akin to Beruit if Beruit had a River Island. We used to be famous for being the largest town in Britain without a train station. Now they've built one so we've got to fall back on having the most teenage single mothers in Western Europe.
ousefox Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 I'm in acomb, are you in York? Anywhere near? Live in Fulford! Know a few people from round there though. How do you get to games?
