miles2lcfc Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 From small village near Chester in Cheshire but now in Wrexham. Dad followed City through the 70's when he moved there with work. I was born in the City LRI but left weeks later. Season ticket holder that spreads the word of LCFC around North Wales!
milnerfc Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Live in Fulford! Know a few people from round there though. How do you get to games? I play most weeks for Aviva in the Saturday afternoon league so I only make about 10-15 games a season, I usually drive but it's the train to hull on Saturday few beers before the game!! Small world, what school you go to?
Gav Posted 1 December 2011 Posted 1 December 2011 Foxes fan in Dublin, none others that I know of , although I did see a fat bloke in a Tigers top last weekend. Probably just visiting. Born in Leic now in Dublin 5 years.
Foxy oz Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I was born in Leicester and been living in Perth WA for the last 25 years but still a big City fan.
haraven Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I would assume there are 200-300 Leicester fans living in Norway - both from UK and locals with different stories as to why they are Foxes fans. Same goes with Sweden, but the population there is twice that of Norway, and some links to Swedish players make it a few hunders foxiles there as well..
Bozman Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Derbyshire fox here, near alfreton both my 2 sons are foxes too, good few leicester shrts around me in this area, and seen some in sutton in ashfield too..........
Monk Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I'm from Rutland, but these days live up in Edinburgh, don't get to as many games these days
Pooley Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Born in Wigston now live in Sheringham (last 7 years) as do many people from Leicestershire so plenty of fans here. Used to have a season ticket but 6 hours of travelling now is out of the question so I have to endure the commentary on Foxes player.
ousefox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I play most weeks for Aviva in the Saturday afternoon league so I only make about 10-15 games a season, I usually drive but it's the train to hull on Saturday few beers before the game!! Small world, what school you go to? ah right, do you know a guy called james dunwoody? Think he went to play for aviva.. Well i'm going on the train too so a chance we might see each other! Fulford sixth form, you?
dog_4 Posted 2 December 2011 Author Posted 2 December 2011 so basically we have leicestershire, northants, lincolnshire, rutland! supporters clubs in norway and sweden! growing base in asia! lets gets some new kids down to the city! in about 20 years we'll be able to fill a 50,000 plus capacity stadium!
MC Prussian Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Can't think of any other Leicester fans in Switzerland, so I'm glad it is the way it is.
21st Century Fox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Wiltshire here, I can only think of one other person in the county I've ever met who also supports City. I have an undying hatred for Southampton.
Guy Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I've lived in Plymouth since 2005 and personally know of no other Foxes fans in the city down here, slightly surprising maybe but not overly so - whereas when I used to live in Northants up until nearly seven years ago, I knew plenty of Foxes fans! Apart from on the Argyle v City matchday itself, I have only once ever seen a city (polo) shirt around Plymouth other than my own and that was going back a bit now! This is not surprising perhaps and not withstanding the Plymouth population of glory chasers of teams like Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool then the vast amount here support Argyle as "they're from round heres"! Despite our failure to score and mostly lose at Home Park whenever I've seen Argyle v City, it was still great for me on the small handful of occasions when City played down here in recent Championship seasons re convenience....whereas many don't travel down this far! Our record here remains poor though and even the last game between us two seasons ago (the Pearson era part one) saw us relying on them scoring us that classic own goal to scrape a 1-1 draw! Alll the same it's still good to see City play so far away yet have it on my doorstep! I doubt we'll be meeting anytime again soon now though!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Too damn right, Hants boys are here, watch out Saints. What part of Hampshire are you from? What I would do for away wins at Reading and Southampton this year!
Brown Fox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I want to know how many people can beat a 5/6 hour round trip! There must be someone madder than me. Over 8 hour round trip to watch the Leeds match. Coming from Newcastle
ousefox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Over 8 hour round trip to watch the Leeds match. Coming from Newcastle I'll probably be doing that this time next year!
Orkneyfox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Like the name says I'm in Orkney, only made it to one match this year but always enjoy reading the opinions and banter on here. Oh and the round trip would be about 42 hours.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 I want to know how many people can beat a 5/6 hour round trip! There must be someone madder than me. 24 hour flight ONE WAY, a whole season in cold damp England, all my college money for next year gone and im only 18. Hows that from mad
NorthernFox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Another North East exile (Blaydon-ish). Try to get to 3-4 home games each season. Yet another doomed to Ian Stringer!
nedfox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 What part of Hampshire are you from? What I would do for away wins at Reading and Southampton this year! The Underground Foxes are back in Basingstoke I think we chatted last time NP was at the helm we managed a trip to Pompey and will be at the home game boxing day. Hantsfox Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 What part of Hampshire are you from? What I would do for away wins at Reading and Southampton this year! Me and my lads live in Bishops Waltham and my brother in Fareham. Enjoyed Pompey last week, now looking foreward to beating Saints, Reading and Brighton. Everytime i go to KP we have a crap result, last home game was bloody Millwall!!
Salieri Posted 2 December 2011 Posted 2 December 2011 Born in Leicester, all my family from Leicester but been in Cornwall since a kid due to parents deciding to move down here! Lifelong Leicester fan and that's how it shall remain of course. Have brainwashed my young children to follow the foxes, of course. Still get to a few games, as much as finances allow.
