Guest Bilo Posted 7 December 2011 Posted 7 December 2011 Lee Hoos named as Burnley's new Chief Executive Burnley have appointed Lee Hoos as their new chief executive. The 50-year-old American has previously held the role at Leicester and Southampton and replaces Paul Fletcher, who stepped down last month. "It's a privilege to be named as chief executive. I am absolutely delighted to be joining a club that is going places," he told the club website. "Burnley has an excellent board of directors and a very, very good manager in Eddie Howe." Hoos will starts his new role at Turf Moor on Tuesday, 13 December. He becomes the Lancashire club's first overseas chief executive. Having first worked in the UK under Mohamed Al Fayed in the boardroom at Fulham, he joined Southampton in 2006 before joining Leicester City in 2008. During his time with the Foxes he was involved in negotiations to employ former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson as manager. Burnley chairman Barry Kilby told BBC Radio Lancashire: "He was an outstanding candidate for us. "He's worked with Championship clubs, big clubs and working for one or two dominant people. "He's certainly had a baptism of fire in those sorts of clubs and I think it bodes well for us. "I have no doubt he will be a big appointment." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16067504.stm Good luck Burnley, you're gonna need it.
