I personally wish we didn't play Christmas music We need pumpy music, and play it loud. Fvck the people who complain that it's too loud

Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 More Indie music needs to be played get Kasabian, Oasis, The Stone Roses, Blur, The Pigeon Detectives etc... blasting round the ground, getting everybody in the mood! Play it loud! Goal music isnt too much of a bother, maybe get Club Foot or a different fast paced song that fans can join in with. For example on Club Foot the whole ground can shout OOOSSHHH AHHHHHHHH that would create a fun atmosphere at the least.
Dan Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Get rid of all goal music, it's completely tinpot and small-time clubs do it, sadly there's a small-time mentality behind the scenes here so that's another that won't change. It's not celebratory, it's crowd control, there's such a consensus; - Goal. - Cheer. - Music comes on. - Music goes off. - Fans naturally stop cheering due to goal music ending, it's the "end of the goal" if you like. To me just seems like another attempt from them to get us to sit back down as quickly as possible.

Why do you think people need loud music booming out to get in the mood surely fans building their own atmosphere by singing is getting in the mood and is supporting the team at the same time? 'Better music' is subjective anyway what makes you think your choice is what the majority want?

As we don't play goal music anymore, it was scrapped months ago. Seems to me you are just thinking up something to moan about and it obviously doesn't annoy you, it can't annoy you as it doesn't even happen and you haven't even noticed that we've stopped doing it.

People can't have been that annoyed by it as they haven't even noticed it's stopped. When we score now the drummer in L1 just plays his version of that song "duh duh duh duh" or whatever it is, but there's no goal music over the tannoy.

city1993 Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Maybe every supporter should be provided with an instrument to play the post horn gallop together after the goal, we can keep it under our seats? Kasabian ought to be played throughout the afternoon in the build-up to the game, and Club Foot/Fire after each goal. I'd like to see the 'proper' music back, like Republica etc... But we're too PC to do anything anymore. Anyone over a certain age will complain if the decibels dare to rise, same as the people who tut and moan constantly if people dare to sing anymore. BRING BACK PROPER FOOTBALL ATMOSPHERE. Sorry, rant over
