Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 What is for certain is this team is certainly going down at the moment, we are in relegation form, the key thing is this January window all our hopes lie on this the players we bring in have to do the business otherwise we are f**ked.
accessory Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Just checked, it was 2 and 5 respectively - nice work Top Yeah, shame on him for not allowing the previous manager to waste even more millions in the next transfer window, That Swedish mercenary set the club back years. He was the worst City manager since Peter Taylor..
ithuriel Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Yeah, shame on him for not allowing the previous manager to waste even more millions in the next transfer window, That Swedish mercenary set the club back years. He was the worst City manager since Peter Taylor.. Even though i hate to say it since i liked Sven i have to agree.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Paulo Sousa was probably on par with Sven maybe even worse. But Taylor tops the lot
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Yeah, shame on him for not allowing the previous manager to waste even more millions in the next transfer window, That Swedish mercenary set the club back years. He was the worst City manager since Peter Taylor.. Thats up against some pretty stiff competition!(Levein, Holloway, Smegson).... I do agree that Sven is a charlatan and I have no idea whatsoever how he has made the money he's made over the years. I guess he epitomises the modern day 'image over substance' phenomenon. However, there are still some on here that are in mourning that he's left.... I wonder whether they may become sudden fans of the next team he manages? Possibly someone like 'Iran' on a million quid a season?
smudger63 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Yeah, shame on him for not allowing the previous manager to waste even more millions in the next transfer window, That Swedish mercenary set the club back years. He was the worst City manager since Peter Taylor.. Although it didn`t take Sven long to work out that he couldn`t play 4-4-2 with King and Wellens in midfield did it!Something Big Nige has failed to work out yet. In fact Sven stated just that, in an interview, shortly after taking over, which was why he went 4-3-3, to try and strengthen the midfieild area. He did get it completely wrong during the summer though, in not bringing any wide players to the club, it just left the team unbalanced, and we have suffered because of it. The midfield is a disaster at the moment, and as Big Nige seems like he wants rid of Johnson and Fernandes, he is going to have to bring in some more quality in the centre of midfield too. God forbid he keeps on playing Wellens!
dpjfox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 23 games (halfway) 31points, as west ham/soton have 47pts, if we can replicate that kind of form 78 points would see us close to play-offs, certainly above relegation zone!

Keep dreaming mate aint going to happen. Next season will be out year or not
davieG Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 We're currently 5 points adrift of 5th bottom and 6 points adrift of 6th top. We're 5th bottom of the current form table - last 6 games It's now four games since we last won
accessory Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Paulo Sousa was probably on par with Sven maybe even worse. But Taylor tops the lot At least Sousa didn't flog Hobbs for a fraction of his true value and spend millions on an inferior replacement.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 At least Sousa didn't flog Hobbs for a fraction of his true value and spend millions on an inferior replacement. True, £5m down the drain with Mills should have kept Hobbs in all honesty.
accessory Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 True, £5m down the drain with Mills should have kept Hobbs in all honesty. Think the fee was £4m plus bonuses in the event of promotion, England caps etc. Can't see any of those bonuses becoming payable any time soon..
NewquayFox Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 Before that we had the Gradel saga, also sold for a fraction of his worth by Pearson...i just hope that Schlupp isnt going to be treated in the same way.... ;0(
Karljohn Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I will never understand why Naughton was "a lot of money" according to Svennis, when we paid 4-5m for MIlls
accessory Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Naughton's doing OK in the Premier. Doubt we could have signed him at any price.
Corky Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 And he's on loan again, so it doesn't seem as though Spurs are too keen to sell.
seenitall Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 We'll never agree chaps, even if Nige takes us down it will be Sven's fault - bet you would rather that than get into the play offs with Sven and have to eat your words - we'll never know now - all we know is that since he went things have got worse and we are further adrift - one good win away from the play offs and 2 from automatic with Sven and 13 from automatic with Nige - Oh Dear, when will you admit you have got it wrong boys, Top should have gone and Sven should have stayed but no, we drew the short straw and our old average manager back and a man child to run the club - you obviously don't remember any of the managers we had between Taylor and Nige as most of them couldn't cut it (including Holloway and Sousa and Basset and Levein and Kelly and Allen). You talk out your arse and as with Weale gate, you get what you wish for and it doesn't work out and you can't handle it - sad sad sad
seenitall Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I love statistics as well - we had as many managers between 1919 and 1977 as we have this century so far - no wonder we are shite
NewquayFox Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 Dont you just love being a Leicester fan.... ;0)
Jace Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 I think we should have a relegation thread as a permanent sticky on Foxestalk?

You talk out your arse and as with Weale gate, you get what you wish for and it doesn't work out and you can't handle it - sad sad sad Here's a quiz for you.. 1) Which manager had the biggest summer transfer budget in the division? 2) Which manager gave Wellens, King and Gallagher long-term contracts thus putting them out of the price range of the rest of the league? 3) Which manager spent £4m+ on a defender who has no first touch or indeed any basic technical abilities? 4) Which manager spent nearly £3m on a panic buy with attitude problems who has no aerial presence whatsoever? 5) Which manager let one of our best defenders of recent years go to promotion rivals, for a fraction of his true value? There's a common theme which should be easy to spot..
NewquayFox Posted 1 January 2012 Author Posted 1 January 2012 SVEN.... What prize do i get for being the first to answer, i`ll get my hard hat....
