artursteppe Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Any manager who ever picks Wellens for more than two consecutive games should be sacked. Anyone who consistently picks the worst midfield players available is either totally dim, or taking bribes, or is in an asian betting syndicate. Wellens, King, Dyer, Gallagher and Danns are ALL worse than Abe, Fernandes and Johnson. How many matches do we have to endure with a reasonable back five, decent strikers and the worst midfield in the league - game after game after game - same old same old same old - Come on you Wellens fans tell me I'm wrong!!!!!!!!! Pearson is definitely either a total no-hoper are into dodgy dealings, end of!!!!!!!
Jimmy Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 or being blackmailed someone from here spoke to Andrew Neville in the car park, the club rate Wellens but are "disappointed" in King cannot believe that
BNET Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Something isn't right, i'm thinking, given the two choices, totally dim.
Happy Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Wellens seems to me as the one holding all the strings in that dressing room he is poisoned individual who is doing this club alot of harm imo.
cc_star Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Another Wellens thread... Seriously even Wellens knows how to add comments to the existing thread.
nikedmands Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 i agree with you on the whole Wellens situation, however how can you say Abe (who i happen to rate highly) is better than Gallagher? I would personally go with Abe and Johnson holding and Gallagher and Fernandes attacking. I dislike Andy King, however he does get some goals. Also you want to play with a back 5!? hardly going to help us attack this league and challenge for promotion! Solid back 4, midfield with grit and flair and the Nuge up front will always bag. any comments?....
Happy Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Another Wellens thread... Seriously even Wellens knows how to add comments to the existing thread. More the fact that he is the perennial problem in decision making how much of an influence does he have on the owners, dressing room management.
Jagdinho Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Playing a back 5 might work, but it wouldn't happen under Pearson. It would allow the full backs, Konchesky and Peltier to attack more, which they have both shown there good at.

Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 It's not Pearsons fault his selection of midfielders are not good enough. Danns - headless chicken Wellens - useless King - invisible Abe - cant handle english football, too weak Johnson - too rusty, doesnt want to be here Fernandes - great energy but doesnt offer much else. We lack creativity, and somebody to break the play up. Hopefully Pearson can sort it out in January.
Walker Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Jesus wept. I forgot we've got a plethora of world class CM at our disposal. Oh wait.......

It can't be any worse that the main pairing.
Happy Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 The same two are being picked every week. Why not try different combinations? It can't be any worse that the main pairing. NP will never change the central midfield partnership he is too far stuck up Wellens and Kingy's buthole.
Thracian Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Wellens seems to me as the one holding all the strings in that dressing room he is poisoned individual who is doing this club alot of harm imo. Take Wellens out of the side and I'm quite sure King would flourish again. I've long said that the two of them together don't work and if our management really think Wellens is the better bet then they're wrong, Look at his record. Over 450 games as a supposedly attacking midfield player. a pathetic 37 goals and he's won absolutely nothing of note or at any decent level.
Corky Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 NP will never change the central midfield partnership he is too far stuck up Wellens and Kingy's buthole. I find it astonishing that Fernandes hasn't been given a proper chance.

Fernandes looked decent when he came on against Hull whilst Wellens has had absolute shockers against Hull, Peterbrough & Donny. Would deffo give King and Fernandes a try.
Happy Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 I find it astonishing that Fernandes hasn't been given a proper chance. Same, unless he has pissed of NP over something or other I don't know why he isn't in the team what harm can it do.
dog_4 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 fernandes is getting on the bench and nigel said he wasn't happy today! which would suggest fernandes might get a chance! with Abe i'd suggest with him travelling from japan for a friendly recently perhaps they found high levels of fatigue in his blood! something they didnt look at before under sven! instead they just played him when he was knackered, and played poor because of it! same with Micheal Johnson! i reckon he isn't fully fit! nigel would of a done a fitness test with the hole squad when he arrived!
Tielemans63 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 I've always liked Wellens but he's been shite this season and shouldn't be skipper IMHO. I think the prob might be A) He's pissed off that Mills was appointed skipper over him and B) The new guys have all come in on big wages and he feels he should have parity - he hasn't got it so he's not happy and his performances reflect that.
