Good performance by Kennedy but he was found out a few times, far far from the finished article. I'm not taking anything away from the lad he played a blinder but he's not as yet a better player than Konchesky!
marbelladave Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Kennedy played very well but Palace were poor and he will get much tougher games than that. I have no problem letting him start on saturday, give Konchesky another week off then bring him back refreshed for Barnsley. As for giving him a start in midfield I think it is premature, we have only seen him in one game for us but I certainly would not rule it out.....

LcFc_Smiv Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Would make sense to give him a go at left midfield against Forest, Konchesky is a great left back but I notice teams target a lot of play towards him. I mainly think this happens because whoever is playing in front of him, usually Gally or Dyer does not come back and help him out or provide him with suitable cover, which makes him the easy target. I noticed in the game against Pompey when Konch won the ball on the wing he had no simple option for a pass, and no real support to build an attack from the back. Having a player like Kennedy who has defensive qualities and the attacking qualities we saw yesterday, IMO would do well in the left midfield position, coming back to help Konch out and bombing forwards on the attack.

He went to Posh and some of their fans said he was poor. Now he's come back had a good performance and he's better than Konchesky, and most people think he's been very decent. Some people even think he's a winger. Lets not jump to conclusions after every game people.

How can you say that, all we need to do is start with a back 5 then switch to a flat back four at half time, whilst giving 2 players their debuts and we will win every game, just look at the stats 100% record, you are such a pessimist.
