Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Shocked to see him in the starting line up but what a performance!!! One of the best defensive displays I've ever seen, Koncheskey will be struggling to get back in. Offered a lot going forward and his crossing / set pieces were quality too. Kept Zaha quiet all game. Easily man of the match.
Salieri Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Having been frozen out for so long he deserves huge credit for coming back and putting in a shift like that. Deserves to start the next match.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 i had genuinely forgotten he was our player still. Well done Tom Kennedy
Haydos Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Sounds like he had a solid one. Interesting decision for Pearson next match.
Guest shearfox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Having been frozen out for so long he deserves huge credit for coming back and putting in a shift like that. Deserves to start the next match. Shown why Pearson signed him in the first place, must have been difficult for him when Pearson left soon after. Seems like he is capable of pushing Konchesky for that starting spot, hope he gets a start next match.
THEFATBASTARD Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 ever seen? get around a bit more... ive told people a million times not to exaggerate..like that.
Corky Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Pearson signed him so he must've seen something in him. Never really given a chance last season and was part of a shambolic defence, but that loan spell seems to have done him good. Good competition for Konchesky too.
dannythefox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 always looked ok but not strong enough looks like the loan spell has worked wonders.
Matt Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 A perfect example of playing for places. Kennedy has come in, played brilliant and now players have got fight for their places back. It's called competition lads, Start performing.
Filbert The Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Listening to the hame i thought he was our MOM. Had a solid game as did the young lad at right back. Would perhaps like to see him play left-mid,just in front of Konchesky.I think they would compliment eachother & would give Konchesky someone he can actually play with on the left.
Jimmy Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 and we could use him at left mid as well if needed as he is pretty good attacking, I thought he'd be back in the frame now NP is back and he took his chance today
darko2k7 Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Thats a point NP just made . It's got to be a record for a player to take 18 months to debut for the manager who signed him.
Jimmy Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Thats a point NP just made . It's got to be a record for a player to take 18 months to debut for the manager who signed him. think Ben Foster took longer at United
darko2k7 Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 think Ben Foster took longer at United O yea did not think about GK's record for a outfeild player something i'm going to have to research now
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 2 January 2012 Author Posted 2 January 2012 I would give him a go at left midfield against Forest. Dyer again came on and did nothing, didn't put a challenge in and didn't use his pace to drive at the Palace defence. He's got the pace, and he's got the quality to put a good ball in the box. Strong and works hard, just the player Koncheskey needs / can work well with. Worth a shot.
FrankieADZ Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 pleased for the guy, showed why he was brought to the club in the first place.
cc_star Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Sounds like he had a solid one. Interesting decision for Pearson next match. This is the salient point Sven dropped players like Mee & Vitor after MotM performances for Bruma Wonder what NP will do, although Konch has got a solid record for us which Bruma never really had at the time. Very tricky choice should Konch be fit, arguably his record says he should get the nod, but also it would be a good sign that if you come in & perform you stay in Interesting
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Always said he should be at least back up. Always looked good at Posh and is quicker than i thought. Had their right winger in his pocket. Great game and my man of the match.
Happy Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 This lad has been left out in the cold for far too long, an admirable performance today we have two quality LB on the books, good competition.
kingfox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Pearson's last signing aswell before he left. He did excellently well at Rochdale so we knew he was talented, but got shipped out on loan etc... Think Pearson wanted to play him, to see if he was capable of being back-up for the left back position instead of buying, as Berner and Ball will both leave. And fair play to him, he performed wonders and made himself count.
Kitchandro Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 If he was that good it's a no brainer, start him at Forest.
jamesmilner Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 not long after a topic slagging off our manager and academy !! who wrote that shit ? well done to the youth , they are "part of the way" . eating humble pie are you ?
