cc_star Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Beckford has looked dangerous both times as sub, very unlucky not to have a goal & pen Vs Pompey & could have had a goal today, he also ran with the ball well on the counter & won corners when we needed respite People slated him because he didn't score again, without taking into account, he was bloody dangerous With regards to Danns, I honestly think he contributed to the amount of pressure were under (committed fouls & conceding dangerous freekicks when getting stuck in & losing his 1st half energy to run with the ball to relieve pressure), he won us the game today & deserves praise & I'll concede to anyone who went and saw his off-the-ball work or lack thereof, but the view from the stream & the excellent R5 commentary formed my opinion... not out of any hatred or not of the player.

Having been to the game, I disagree with everything you've written. Beckford rarely makes the right run. When he does, his shooting and/or decision making is poor. There's nothing dangerous about a man with a strike rate of 1 in 10. He also refuses to close down defenders which, when down to 10 men, is a cardinal sin for a lone centre-forward. Danns was good today. Not spectacular, but good.

Just from listening to the radio I can tell Beckford and Wellens just do not do enough and we will never be as good as Leeds United

When supporters are asked to give ratings its always been stated that do so only if you attended the match. Get off your high horses and support City just like Bert does....
