Magictv Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 For whoever said he's a Leicester lad. He isn't. You heard owt about this? Seems a unlikely at 6m but you never know...
chili_con_carne Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 You can tell by his posh accent that he's not a Leicester lad
flowwolf Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Take it ! we could buy another Mills and spend the spare million on a another fun day dodgem fair out side the ground.
adamrwood Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Also on this website http://www.football-rumours.co.uk/football-rumours/footballrumours66051.php Dont know if i wanna see him go. With his confidence back he is 10 goals a season from midfield we will miss
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Kings ransom is that, 6 million . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . i think it would be hard for Andy King to resist anyway, playing for a Premier League club like Aston Villa?
Bettsy82 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I would accept a million tbh. Ive never rated him from day 1. What ? He's a goalscoring midfielder who bagged 16 last year hes worth more than a million pal. Sven has to take the blame for his poor form and lack of confidence he's ruined what was our prize asset.
chili_con_carne Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 villa is a top, famous club? It's amazing how people think Leicester are such a big club.
Corky Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I'd take the money but I'd also be disappointed to lose him.
Kitchandro Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 We don't need the money, what's the point? He is class, yes his form needs to be better but as they say form is temporary, class is permanent But is he? He's always had questions asked about his all round impact in a game. He's always been too lightweight. There was period last season where he was absolutely fantastic and he's always scored goals, but he's never been a consistent influence on the team. Not to the extend a true dominant midfielder is. I won't question his talent because he has all the attributes to be top footballer but he's 23 and since February instead of kicking on he's gone backwards. At the moment he's just a lad with potential which he isn't fulfilling. How long do we wait before we decide this is a good as he's going to get? Saying we don't need the money is true at the moment, but next season? If FFP comes in and they cotton on to the flanker we are pulling with the stadium rights Which they've suggested), we're up shit creek. I want him to come good but is it worth keeping someone who may well be warming the bench if we get the right players in? I don't know the answer to that. I can see where you're coming from but at the same time I feel it would be common sense to let him go for £6m. Though it sounds an unrealistic amount.
chili_con_carne Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 And king Is from the reading, high Wycombe area. Hence why he used to play for the Chelsea academy. And I know he scores goals, but he has never offered anything else. Can he tackle? No. He attempts to close people down but he never actually wins the ball back does he? he can pass the ball 5 yards, but do you ever see him playing a long ball to someone like Gallagher does. He doesn't have many attributes you need to be a good centre mid in my opinion.
fatmando Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 As long as we replace him with a midfield meastro first. He's not been great this season but would rather have him in over Oakley if recalled. Or....Swap deal for Heskey??
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Swop for Stephen Ireland and 4 million coming our way
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Would anyone notice he's gone. Yes he's our best midfielder
bluearmyfox23 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I would take 6m I think he is easily replaceable with 6m you could bring in 2 of these: Koren, Pratley, Davies or possibly all 3?
Adster Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I'd be unhappy to lose King. Because we all know what he can do, and the potential he has. We have money yes, but the owners might want to partially rebalance their cash flow? Re cooperate some cash maybe? I think our owners would cash in if a £6m bid was offered, in my honest opinion.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 This sounds like bull to be honest. Would rather keep hold of the lad, hes definitely got talent just hit a bit of a lull.
Tielemans63 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I would put £6million on this rumour being utter horse. No chance.
Horibbly Wrong Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 We dont exactly need the money to fund another spending spree! A goalscoring mid is exactly what we need next year in the Prem
Soar Fox Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Seen on a page on Facebook who also predicted the vassell signing last year, say that Aston Villa are on red alert to cough up 6 million for Andy King. Taking into account of this season I would sell him as he has been poor, but last season was superb. The problem we would have is that if we sold King, we would replace him with another heap of shit, Kingy is a Leicester lad which would be a shame to see him go but if this report is true I personally would ask 4 million plus Fabien Delph Fabian Delph is worth £6 million alone.
Jimmy Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I'd take the money too, would like Barry Bannan as a replacement in some sort of part-ex as we;ll
J.Lisemore Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Think we should keep hold of him. When on form hes a brilliant player to have, its just getting him back to form...
Bettsy82 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 And king Is from the reading, high Wycombe area. Hence why he used to play for the Chelsea academy. He doesn't have many attributes you need to be a good centre mid in my opinion. Gallagher isn't in the same league as king he was excellent last year granted he hasn't played well this season but he will eventually rediscover the form he showed last season. How about we get rid of Gallagher , dyer , wellens none of which are anywhere near as good as king.
Bettsy82 Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Fabian Delph is worth £6 million alone. Errrrrr no he isn't !
