morris1234 Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 As the title says would you move to our club? If I was a player I would definitely think twice if I read anything written by our fans or listening to the bbc after games. Does no-one realise we are our own worst enemy? I'm sure all I'll get is a torrent of abuse but seriously- we need to get a grip. Discuss...
Webbo Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Because all other teams have completely rational, reasonable supporters who support their players however they're playing.
morris1234 Posted 8 January 2012 Author Posted 8 January 2012 Ok maybe I didn't put the point across right. Why do we no try and build our players up and give them a bit more backing with the same passion and Ferber that we beat them down with very Saturday post 5pm?

THEFATBASTARD Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Balckburn fans are much better..very reasonable.. we are a shower...
jonlcfc1990 Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 PROS- Club is going places and being heavily invested in It's half way through the season so expectation is low good time to come in and be a hero and push on last half Wages money but also good coaches and facilities to ply your trade INTL Players such as King Bamba Pantsil etc to learn from Great fan base and great support most games and fans who take players to heart quickly (bamba, fernandes, nugent,Billy sharp hasnt even joined and he's a hero) Highcross shopping bif redeveloped town centre, 45 mins from birmingham 1 hour 30 mins on the train from LDN We are the midlands by definition. Lots of small counties to hide away but also good redevelopment in town for apartments. CONS- Fickle fans but every club has them some fans think with money comes instant success and it's gone to some of our fans heads. Owners who aren't afraid to chop managers Could well be in the Champ for another season fighting for your position nothing is entitled due to our numbers with a move to a club with money people will think you should perform straight away (beckford)

Possibly But more likely that player's will listen to what Pearson has to say and what their agents have to say to Neville, being amongst the top payers in the division matters far more than what a subset of fans say on a forum or during a phone-in
wellyfox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Like a fvcking shot I'd join us. but your asking and I;m a fan. But I also agree that some of our fans go a little over the top too.

cc_star Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Nothing matters in comparison to the manager's plans for you & the team and the remuneration package on offer. Every club has fans that cheer you/the team when doing well & moan about when you/the team don't We're not special
Thracian Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Hmmmmmm for about 4 games if he don't score. Then there's a simple answer. I don't know any club that's searching for a striker who can't score although even making a contribution to our scoring would help keep he pressure off.
fadedfox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Not if I had the choice to go to a London club. Live in West London, or Leicester? Hmmm, tough choice!
Corky Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 If I was a player with no connection then no. We're mid-table. If you had the choice of us or Premier League, or top of this division, you'd choose the other option. Money talks though, and if we offered a better contract, then possibly I would. But for football reasons I wouldn't right now.
Jace Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 If I was a footballer and I had a choice where to go Id go Barcelona better money, nicer weather and Champions League medals
morris1234 Posted 8 January 2012 Author Posted 8 January 2012 more negativity yawn yawn yawn Not sure if that was aimed at the posts in this thread or my point? What I was trying to get at is the negativity,it kills all the ambition and hope and ultimately the atmosphere at the KP. As In the post above there are so many pro's to the club but we just jump to the negative every time. Mods feel Free to close if this going nowhere ....
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 What a load of old tosh... Do you honestly think players join clubs because of the fans? That certain players wouldn't join us because they heard a rumour that we have 'fickle fans'... Players join for three things IMO. 1. The contract 2. The contract 3. The contract To assume that players join or dont join clubs due to any 'stick' they may get from the fans or because the fans may be 'negative'....
ealingfox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 In my daydreams of being scouted in the park, scoring a hatrick on debut at the City Ground in the last ten minutes to complete a 2-3 comeback and developing into one of the world's best players, I always made it clear that the only club I would leave Leicester for is Barcelona, and that's only after I had completed my ambitions of captaining us into a sustainable PL top 4 berth.
ScouseFox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Depends what my other offers were. If it was us or someone good, I'd choose them. If it was just us, or us and someone bad after me, I'd choose us. Not hard really.
seenitall Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Not if I read the mesaage boards first. Graveyard for most.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Not if I read the mesaage boards first. Graveyard for most. I do wish I could do photoshop stuff like mi old pal Spherical can... Cos I'd do a picture of someone with a great big, fat chip on their shoulder and send it to YOU... lol
