Danno Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 What is all the hype around this guy? He's poor defensively and not exactly brilliant going forward. His fault for the two goals.
iamafox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Should have broken the bank to get Naughton in, our best player last season IMO.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ive said this all along! The most overrated player in our team by a mile, everybody loves him but for what? Always out of position, Does nothing going forward other than slowing the play down, Constantly passing back, Never tracks back when he loose's the ball, Always his man free in the penalty area too.
Danno Posted 14 January 2012 Author Posted 14 January 2012 I still reckon Nugent, Bamba and Schmeichel are overrated. Dont get me wrong Schmeichel is ace but seems to let in a lot of soft goals.
CountesthorpeFox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Should have broken the bank to get Naughton in, our best player last season IMO. could not agree more. Got berated for saying we should have paid £6 million for Naughton (still might not have got him like). Peltier is decent but he is not in the same league as Naughton. Not by a long shot.
Webbo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He's had a good season so far,1 bad game and people are slagging him off. As for Naughton he wanted to play in the prem.
Leicester Lass Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He's had a good season so far,1 bad game and people are slagging him off. As for Naughton he wanted to play in the prem. Exactly. Comparing him to Naughton is a little unfair.
Kitchandro Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Started well for us but hsi recent form is terrible. Woeful again today.
Revilo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He's had a good season so far,1 bad game and people are slagging him off. As for Naughton he wanted to play in the prem. i totally disagree. what does he offer for us. He is useless going forward and just as bad defensively. His fault for both the goals today!
iamafox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He's had a good season so far,1 bad game and people are slagging him off. As for Naughton he wanted to play in the prem. I'm not saying that Peltier is a bad player, but I just think that Naughton is better than him.
Guesty Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Think he's done alright this year. It didn't help today he had Gallagher infront of him who didn't stay on the wing. It meant Peltier was having to try and do both roles and going forward he isn't great. If he has to go forward then the team needs a midfielder like Abe who covers for him but nobody did that today.
Webbo Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I'm not saying that Peltier is a bad player, but I just think that Naughton is better than him. No shit. Naughton wanted premier league we couldn't offer him that.
Gold Coast Fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He is one of the few player who will end the season with any dignity.
MrFox781 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I still reckon Nugent, Bamba and Schmeichel are overrated. Dont get me wrong Schmeichel is ace but seems to let in a lot of soft goals. Did you see weale and ricardo last season.
Chap84 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Started well for us but hsi recent form is terrible. Woeful again today. It could be down to the style of play we our now playing?
wakeyfox01 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Completely overrated, couldn't lace Konchesky's boots.
davieG Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He's gone off the boil since Pearson arrived as has Nugent. But frankly no one is performing to their max.
NewburyFox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 He started very well here, hence all the praise, but his form has dipped severely over the last few weeks. Both goals came through his side, although he can't help it if he has no support for an overlap. The way he just allowed their guy to put the ball into the box for their second goal was shocking defending though. He needs to improve.
Fmfox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 one game where everyone played poorly and somehow pelts is now a bad player? hes done a great job stepping up into the champ and has proved to be a great buy.
Benji Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Now this, this is pathetic. Up there with Kasper as one of our only consistently good players. What players get a 10/10 every game. Jesus H.
Narborough_fox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Least he's realised his mistakes; @kingpowers could of done better stop cross second goal, but not first goal pal, sorry
Alf Bentley Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I think he's getting a load of kneejerk abuse here just because the 2 goals came from moves down his side of the pitch. OK, it would've been good if he (or someone) could've stopped those moves...but the big question is who was supposed to be covering Andy Gray when he made his runs and scored 2 goals with little pressure? I'd assume that the centre backs were supposed to be watching Vaz Te & Dagnall....and that the defensive midfielder (Wellens) should've been tracking Gray. If Abe had been playing instead of Wellens, I doubt he'd have scored those goals so easily, if at all.
